brought to you by 1a auto calm your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet hi I'm Mike Greer I'm one of the owners of warning Auto I want to help you save time and money repairing and maintaining your vehicle I'm gonna use my 20-plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1a auto calm the right parts installed correctly that's gonna save you time and money thank you and enjoy the video in this video we'll show be showing you how to replace the grille on this 2001 Jetta same process for any 99203 Jetta and the only tool you need is a flat blade screwdriver and if you're replacing your grille consider replacing your headlights here's it before and then you can see by this after replacing your headlights can take a lot of miles off the front end of your car so first we're going to open the hood there's a little tab it is actually broken on this car but you push down with your your screwdriver right there and then pull this forward okay and then next on each side okay you're gonna want to just kind of pull up this way and then kind of push in here and up okay then the same thing on the other side out this way and up and up okay now the girl is loose and then the last thing you need to do and using your screwdriver now your grill is all okay and then to remove the VW emblem what you want to do is you want to take your thumb and push and pry up on this and then push the end of the through okay you got to keep pushing and then apply on the other side okay and then keep pushing and it comes up and then also you'll want to remove this part simply you just kind of pry these teeth there's this side fish frying it up and off okay so then you can transfer that to your new grill so the replacement grills we sell at 1a auto com do come in black and most replacement grills do come in black if you want to paint them to match and what you want to find is an auto parts store that has a paint department and what they can do is they can mix up based on the color code and they'll be able to tell you where the collie coat color code is on your car based on that color code they'll mix you up some paint and then they'll put it into an air charged canister and you can just kind of use that like a spray can alright so now I'm gonna put this back in obviously you want the red arrow to beat up goes right in okay what I do is I take my screwdriver I kind of get the grill going at this clip like this reach in here twist your screwdriver kind of wrap your figure around it okay get that on just a clip down okay now you want to put the bottom of your grill in first okay you want to kind of hold these but to you by ww1 a Ericom your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet feel free to call us toll-free 888 eight four four three three nine three the company that's here for you on the internet and in person thank you
