hello I'm Tom from smart arrows and welcome to video number three of our how-to series how to make a correct plug for a TV erial connection tall you're going to need for this one case plug one section of cable one set of cutters and whilst only blade if you've got a sharp stanley bag that will help this one is a pretty sharp so also a bit care we got show long he's my cut walk through it yet be very delicate but let's begin camera remote you've watched videos one and two of this series you know he's been a cable to same [ __ ] hey well being exit so we're gonna start with the cable we're gonna bear a couple of centimeters maybe a little bit more doesn't have got too much and we're going to go around it and make a little decision around it look a little ring around the cable and we just bend that back though she just pull off get some pliers or cutters or something before it's a poor man let's make some more well okay look at that so we've got the braid we've got the copper screen for those you're interested this is what good cable looks like it's copper copper take that back that's your copper in the side as well crap cables made of aluminium and tin and we don't we don't we don't use them so we get like that then we have to take apart the coax plug so that just screws like that that drops out there we've got four bits a bit that bit that bit that bit now you put in the see all them but make more sense must not put as you go out but things first we want to put this bit on so that's the bit that goes over there that's a bit we'll turn it on next we want to clamp back the braid that bit so that literally goes on there to give a spin it'll get in position for you so it's like that so we want that braid poured back because when we cut the the next bit the dielectric that's the the white bear we want to make sure not one bit of that is touching inside otherwise you got short and it won't work properly and so but half centimeter in cut round again and completely remove that bit so we've got the unicorn looking not that now there's a lot lots of ways people do this personally I just bend that like that that's bent then they'll just slot on top of that and now quite it's been it's making that sort of permanent connection with this bit here and a lot of people I know will crimp that I don't do that because you can't really reuse the plug without we can it's never the same again so if one knit that bit off there then we let that and literally the last remaining bit which is that bit that goes on there and then we take that up and do it nice and tight voila one coax plug so if you like this video if it's of use to you please do give video likely to put a comment beneath you can see more videos like this we're going to do a whole a whole series swinging TV or something put series on the wall that's about satellite dishes you can learn the whole shebang please scroll to our YouTube channel to get that by the way and that's it so I mean sunspot and smiles here was a lion guaranteeing you a good reception
