hey everybody clear here from the kitchen kitchen and look who I have hi it is lovely Laurel from sweet Laurel hello she is the mastermind behind all of the delicious Paleo grain free refined sugar-free dairy-free all the things yes so good delicious baked goods and we are co-founders of sweet Laurel which is just so exciting we have two beautiful layer cakes for events we do pantry items but it all really all comes from like all of the amazing creative energy Laurel has and so you've been on the channel a few times yeah thanks for having me back of course oh my gosh and today we are making just a classic mm-hmm they're so delicious yes brownies yes they're our favorite brownies you can feel pretty good about eating the brownies because we're using really amazing ingredients it's completely grain free it has a lot of really delicious natural sweeteners so no refined sugar here and just if they're delicious or really dense and rich is it also good well walk us through they're also so easy to make so what do we have in front of okay so as you can see we don't have a whole lot of ingredients here our base for the recipe is almond butter we use two cups of almond butter and then our for our sweeteners I do a split between maple syrup and date paste date paste is actually something you can purchase on our blog it's basically a bunch of ground-up dates and it's a really great quick sweetener and we're going to use a half a cup of cacao powder baking soda one teaspoon we're gonna use a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a half a teaspoon of Himalayan pink salt Claire gave me this idea because she's like a chocoholic I'm obsessed by chocolate I think this would really rock with some chocolate is that what I sound like inside your head so we're really wrong with a lot of it does John Thomas she gave me a very good suggestion and we put our chocolate chips inside the brownies and I like to sprinkle them on top Laurel makes her own chocolate chips and they're insane and then two eggs no this looks delicious so let's start making because I want to eat brownies so bad okay so the first things first we line our 8x8 pan with parchment paper so what we're going to do first is I'm going to have clear just kind of take apart our TV stand put it in our poll right we're going to mix it with our maple syrup perfect we're gonna gently just start and you kind of want the dates and the maple syrups have become one yeah it makes it a lot easier for everything to integrate together yes and so once it starts to kind of blend together you can go up in speed knowing that the maple syrup I'm going to splash all over your face literally for this recipe you can just put everything else in except for our chocolate chunks we'll wait till the end for that so eggs one at a time yep one all right mix that together egg number two we're gonna pop our nut butter into our I'm gonna put all the drys together just so it's like well integrated your fall and so you want me to add a little bit of vanilla extract we grate in our millet tract is sold on our website as well it's absolutely delicious it's completely grain free and starch free as well it's made with tequila yes as you're celiac friends are good to go with our trap exactly oh my gosh look at that color yeah this is what we call a fudgy brownie we're gonna add our chocolate chunks now I like to add almost all of them and then keep a couple for the top whoops hey just because it looks really cool with the chunks there there we go so we're just gonna tease in really quick it is so decadent yeah I could miss once you get the brownie batter in the pan you can kind of paint it all over the bottom here so we have like a nice square shape just sprinkle the chunks on top mmm when I make these for my husband I put like a little like heart shape on them like big heart it's it's really you are such a nice wife I like our brownies are all set to go in the oven we're gonna have some really good brownies in about 20 minutes great and 350 yes these smell absolutely wonderful definitely they look great and you can see how well the parchment trick work yeah it's awesome right out right out and these are cools a little bit so we're not cutting into like super hot brownies I also can't believe how fluffy okay I really think the date paste gives it a little little fluff yeah so are you a corner piece girl or a middle piece girl um I can do a corner okay as a corner for you I'll do a gooey center piece for me girl girl oh my gosh look at this time for a bite brownie cheer brownie
