Please explain how to make diy treasure map | easy kids crafts

- Arrgh, mateys. Welcome back to Kids Cooking & Crafts. I'm Ava. - And I'm Corbin. And today we'll be showing you guys how to make a realistic
secret treasure map. - The first thing that we need to do is get a big piece of
paper and get it wet. (gentle rhythmic music) - I'm just gonna wring it out, and then open it back up. Now we're just gonna rip off the edges so it looks like it's
really old and tattered. Now that it's wet, it's
really easy to rip. - Next step to make it look older is to get watered down brown paint and paint the edges. - We're gonna paint it really thick on the outside. And then kind of blend it in in the middle. (gentle rhythmic music) - Now we are going to carefully pick it up and then put it onto a cookie sheet. You have to be very careful 'cause it will rip very easily. - Now I'm just gonna go and put this in the oven on low. Whoa. - Look, it's all dried up. - That's cool. That is awesome! Look at that. - Now we are are going to draw landmarks on our map that will
lead us to the treasure. - We're just using a Sharpie to just go in and draw it. So, we wanna draw some landmarks. So, like bridges, waterfalls, trees, things that don't move around. 'Cause if you do like a cat, that cat could walk away. (clang) - Let's start off with drawing a house. Now we are going to draw some dots to show us where the next clue is. So our next landmark is
going to be a waterfall. - The next thing that I'm
gonna draw is a bridge. - Next we're gonna draw some mountains. - Um, let's think of other landmarks. - Trees! - Trees, yeah. - Okay, I think we need some coconuts up in those palm trees. - Yeah. A couple coconuts on the ground. - Now that we're all
done with our landmarks, we're going to draw a few dots that lead to the X. - X marks the spot. - We need to add a little bit of color. (gentle rhythmic music) - Nice. We're all done coloring our map. Remember, you guys can make
your own landmarks, too. It doesn't have to be these same ones. - This is just an example. - It could be like a fire
hydrant, or a mailbox. Maybe like a pine tree or something. I think that'd be really cool. - Yeah. - You guys should make
your own treasure maps. - Now we're gonna get some
leave-in hair conditioner. Now we're gonna use this
leave-in hair conditioner and rub it on our map
so it's nice and soft. - It's kind of like sunscreen. - Yeah. - You just gotta kind of
rub it 'til it goes away. You can also use lotion for this, too. - Yeah. - So, this really works
really good because now it's not all, like-- - Crumbly. - Yeah, it's not crumbling. - It's like softer and
it smells really good. (laughs) - Every good treasure map has a seal. So that's what we're making next. - We got a small piece of
white modeling clay here, air-dried. - We're gonna stamp it with this quarter. Now we're just gonna get
it right in the middle and press down. There we go. We have a whole bunch
of little stamps here. This one is M, and so
when you press it down it'll have an M on it. You just can just go (two swishy noises) So you can put your initials on it or you can write something on this little seal here. - We're gonna put "MAP" on it. (light jazz music) - Now we're gonna put this in the pie tin and pop it in the oven so it'll dry out. We just got this thing out of the oven and now it's nice and hard. - Now we are going to put a thin layer of red paint on it. (gentle rhythmic music) - Now you're gonna need a
six inch piece of ribbon. You're just gonna loop it like this and glue it together. - Now we are going to glue
the seal onto the ribbon. It kind of looks like a bracelet. - Right. Now that we're done, we're just gonna roll up our map and put the seal over it. I'm gonna be really careful so I don't rip the map or break the seal. - Okay, now let go. Ta-da! It's our treasure map! (claps) (gentle rhythmic music) Thank you guys so much
for joining us today and don't forget to Like, Subscribe, and Comment down below what you would put on your treasure map. - See you guys later, bye. - Bye. - Arrgh. - (chuckles) (gentle rhythmic music)
