hi i'm magdalena bridal consultant del fiore Bridal today i'm going to show you how to tie some sashes into pretty bows or square knobs or things of that nature so you start with a sash and of course let go we usually Brides wrap the sash around twice if it's a longer sash only once if it is a shorter sash both of these can be done in the front or the back depending on where the bride's choose chooses to wear her sash first I'm going to start with a pretty bet you want to start with both of the lengths being about the same on the sash you want to go under and through for the knot once you have that you will take the bottom piece and you will use the top piece to go around and then through to make a nice square knot with a pretty bow and you can always start with a bigger bow and then make it smaller as you pull it in and then pull it tighter this is a bow with a square knot in the middle next I will show you just how to tie a square knot so you will start with about the same thing you want your sash to be the same length you go under and through one more time tie it so that sash will hang kind of like this you will take the top piece and then it just literally loops over and through the bottom piece does not really do anything then you pull on both to make a nice pretty square knot another option is to do a twist in the front with a sash and just bring it to the back into a square bow or a bow this adds a little bit more interest to a simpler gal you do this by twisting the sash in the very front then you want to lay it flat and then bring it to the back and then that will create a nice pretty twist in a very front of the wedding gown this can be done mainly in the front in the back you might add a little bit too much of a bulk and then in the back you will tie it in a square knot or a bow
