we'll begin with an 8 by 16 inch sheet of candle wick beeswax we find a large cutting board especially useful for this project begin by making small marks at the 4 inch point on both ends of the sheet using a straightedge cut the sheet in half you can also simply fold the sheet in half and then cut it but we found this way to be a bit more accurate go ahead and set one of the halves aside as each sheet will make two candles now cut a five inch piece of wick material with a blow-dryer warm up just the end of the sheet place the wick on the sheet leaving an inch sticking beyond one edge now carefully wrap the end of the beeswax sheet around the wick warm the entire sheet with your blow-dryer this will soften the beeswax and make it easier to roll your candle begin tightly rolling the beeswax around the wick try to keep the bottom end as straight as possible you can test the fit as you go and make corrections as needed once you've achieved the correct diameter cut off the excess using your fingers gently soften the seam into the candle again test the fit at this time you can clip the wick to length about a quarter inch above the wax then go ahead and light it beeswax candles are easy and fun to make and a wonderful way for beginning candle makers to get started they're attractive and all-natural experiment with different colors and sizes designs are limited only by your imagination you you
