I want to show you how to make a star stitch now star stitch does not go through the application actually the thread goes around the shape so the first thing you do is I'm starting with a circle and you can do the star shape just on its own but I go over the top of the circle I want and Petunia I'm making a pie and cutting up I'm dividing it in half and then I go push my needle in right on the other side of the shape so you can see I didn't come I didn't bite into the shape itself I'm going right outside of it so there's your first stitch now the second one you're making like a plus sign you want to go in at that edge right next to the application shape and come down just on the other side so now it looks like a plus and now we're going to divide it I like to go from the upper left and cut it in half the other way diagonally by going down into the lower right I use my fingers to kind of adjust it so that the center's are coming out where they're crossing and here's my last stitch up along the diagonal cutting it into another wedge and you don't want to pull too tightly now you just nod it off and you have a perfect little star you
