Please explain how to screw a curtain rod through plaster : plaster walls

hello everyone I'm Joshua Clement today I'm going to talk to you about how to secure curtain rods to your plaster wall now it's very important that you get your curtains nice and level and securely fastened to your wall for this job we're going to be using a level a battery power drill with the Philips bit and a little bit longer screws than what they sent in a package for a curtain rod I'm also going to be using a pencil first thing we're going to do is mark our first holes on one side so hold it up here mark both holes then we're going to go ahead and drill our screws into that hole to pre-drill them that way it's a little bit easier to get it in there with our bracket so we'll go ahead and run one screw in back it out put it in the other hole after that we'll take our bracket place it over our screw to help hold our screw and put it into place the reason we're using a little bit longer screws is to get through the plaster and hit the laughs boards behind the plaster then we'll go ahead and put it in our second screw now we're going to take our curtain rod and attach our bracket to the curtain rod and put it up on the other curtain rod that's already installed then we're going to move it out to our desired length and put our level on it after you have a nice level grab your pencil and Mark your two holes or your other bracket and then we'll go ahead and pre-drill those holes after your holes are pre-drilled go ahead grab your screw in your bracket and install the brackets after that's done you can go ahead and hang up your curtain rod making sure that your curtains are securely fastened to the wall is very important that way when you go to close them you're not going to pull down the whole rail thank you all for watching and good luck with this project you
