hi there wendy here from draw so cute in this video we're going to draw a jailhouse minion so let's get started with this jailhouse minion we're going to first start by drawing the top of his head so right here i'm going to draw a nice big curve nice round big curve so that's the top and then we're going to bring it down so we're going to start to bring it down and straight in and out but before we do that well let's bring it down a little bit more so nice now we're going to start to straighten it out and then from there from there let's draw his eye so this minion here has one eye and because i'm drawing pretty big i'm gonna cheat a little and use my circle template so right here in the center i'm gonna towards the top right here i'm going to add a circle so nicely in the center hopefully let's see here find my center so this is my guideline right here on these templates is to find the center and i'm going to draw a big circle big eye okay so there so i don't want to do it freehand because it's a really big circle so there got one big circle in and then i'm going to draw another layer and since i have my template out i might as well just use that and draw another circle on the inside so there now we've got his goggles in so the two circles and then from there you can come out towards the center right here on the outside and draw kind of like a rectangle so do that for both sides just make sure it's at the same level and then from there you can draw the band so i'm going to come above right here and just go slightly up just very slightly this one's going to go slightly down and pop it out right here just pop it out and i'll go in there and erase that line and add a little band right there so same thing on this side slightly down and pop it out and add a line so there we got the goggles in now and then from there let's draw his eye so towards the not the center just go up a little bit above the center and we're going to draw a straight line across so nice straight line across and then from there i'm going to draw a circle but it's going to be part of a circle because his upper lid is covering it so um and it's slightly off-center so just to give him more character so about right here and draw part of a circle and we're going to make them draw some cute eyes of course so two small circles and curved line at the bottom and shade in the top so i can't wait to see this despicable me 3. it looks so cute i think that my favorite character right now is balthazar brat i love the trailer the first trailer that came out for the movie it was so cute so the lines at the bottom so i don't really know what the story is behind these uh jailhouse minions but they're really cute so hopefully you guys like what i drew for you so bottom right here i'm going to draw a curve and so this is going to be just part of its bottom lid like that so from there let's give him some hair so this guy right here towards the edge right here i'm just going to come about right here and just draw a curve so three or four of them like that so you go right across right here same thing just one two three and one more it's so silly right come in here thicken it up there so then from there let's um come towards the bottom right here and let's draw his mouth first so that we know how long to make his head so right under his goggles a little off-center i'm not going to put it right in the center just come to off a little bit towards the right and i'm going to draw a curve down and you can add a little point at the bottom and there he's got so much attitude right so then from there we know that we need to bring his head let's continue this down a little bit more so we're gonna go about where his mouth is and so then we're going to draw a straight line about right here so let's see so right here we're going to start to draw the band of his um overalls so come about right here and draw a curve it says do the same thing on the other side make sure just draw the band and then from there we can go straight line down and finish off this band so just follow that curve and connect it so same thing here so then come inside right here i'm going to draw a circle for a button and draw an x and then you can come in here and draw the bands for the stripes then his uh jailhouse outfit so then come right here under the mouth we're going to draw a straight line across there now we've got his head in okay so then let's bring this line down again we're going to continue straight line down continuing it down okay make sure my lines are still as straight as possible and so then from there let's see a little bit more from there we're going to finish off this overall so right here we're going to draw a curve same thing on this side and before i finish that i'm going to break this off right here to start to draw his pants so straight line across and then from there i'm going to pop out a curve right here for his pants i'm going to come out same thing on this side and then now you can finish this curve so this is where his pockets would be the curve right there and now let's bring this in a little bit more like that so this whole point just kind of drawing that pill shape for this whole minion so that's the goal and then towards the center right here come down towards the center right here and we're going to draw a little curve so we're going to start to draw his um legs right here so come out and draw a little curve and let's finish this let's connect it in and connect it so there i got his pants in so now for his shoes so i'm going to come out just a little bit and i'm going to pop out a curve and it's going to pass his pants right here so i'll go in there erase that but i wanted to show you how you would draw it with a pencil and then from there come out right here and we're going to draw his shoe just a little curve and let's connect it and i'm going to come down one more layer and just follow my top curve so it's the same thing on this side nice big curve that comes over right here nice curves just make sure matches right there stand connected so then same thing at the bottom and connect there now let's come to the center right here and we're going to draw a pocket so towards the center just draw a nice little straight line and connect it and let's give him a number i'm gonna give him a zero zero one so i'm just going to draw zero zero and a one you give your menu whatever number you want so there now let's draw his hands so this one's going to be on his um side right here so come up right here where his um overall strap is i'm going to come out with a curve same thing here curve and connect it right here with a curve and we're going to start to draw the gloves it's going to come in touch his hip so this one slaps in curve and pop out a little finger and bring it in so let's do the same thing on this side so it's going to be about right here and curve so this one's just to his side same thickness and same thing glove so we're going to come angle a little bit and draw one thumb oops and this way and then draw another the finger right here out and connect it there so now we got our minion and now we have to draw those straight lines that go across so i'm going to divide it into little stripes right here so i'm going to come across draw one so about let's go right across okay another one and just let's see like that so then from there um i'm gonna come in with a thinner sharpie so i'm going to come in here with a ultra fine point um where is that there ultra fine point sharpie and i'm going to go in and draw all the little stitch lines so this is just optional it just adds a lot of um i think it just adds a lot more to the drawing if you add these little stitch lines for his clothes so just come right here on the edges see here the top one and just go all the way across no right or wrong way just draw this little stitch and for his pocket and right here in the center i'm just gonna draw two of them and let's see am i missing anything else um that's it i think for this cute little jailhouse minion um let's see here if you want it i guess you could draw those little things on his um his goggles so come to center just pop out a little bump just three of them to add some details to his goggles and one more there this cute little jailhouse minion is all
