right I've won a collector here alright this is going to be how to make a spoke buckler or a mini shield of the spike so the main thing you're going to need for this is a wok which I'll show you next right so this is what you're going to need a piece of wood to measure the hand or piece of metal for the handle a wok and these are some they're wine Stoppers but they're perfect steel spikes that's basically what you need and then obviously some tools but you'll see as a girl on what you need so take the handle off and then there may be a little bracket that we probably want to get rid of I cut mine with a hacksaw in the end but you could use an angle grinder anything really wherever you want whatever you feel you need to get rid of it when I've got my bracket off it made a bit of damage on the edge of what so what I'm doing now just gonna flatten it down with a hammer round it off again and then that Sun that's done so the next thing you want to do is cut the handle now it's a couple of different ways you could do downed or you could just buy a handle if you wanted to but I didn't I cut a piece of wood at 45 degree angles and place them into the wok till there's the right place then marked the steel tube so you could use a steel tube aluminium tube you'd use a wooden handle anything you want anything just goes across all you could buy handle so I'll just cut that off and then the way I did it what I decided to do now is flatten each of the ends so I'll just handle them down with a hammer and then in a minute I put them in a vise to flatten down totally so you can see they're getting sort of flatter there now I'm going to put them in the vise to crush them so they're actually properly flat and then you can have a bit more if you want that gives you somewhere touching mouth handle you need to bend closed in a minute but you shoot I mean now so boyfriend's are squashed and you bend those up at a 45-degree angle using the vise just put in the vise put it towards you and then just do it till the angle is right to fit inside the wok so you can see there so I'll just show you now how it fits in the actual what so now the handles done you want to mark where you're gonna want the spike now you can add the spike or not but I did so just mark to keep measuring till you get the middle of the wok and then you want just drill a hole then we'll fit the spiking those spikes if you want you to buy those on eBay and they are just steal one Stoppers so I just drill to get that to spike in my heart wasn't quite big enough in a minute but I didn't feel making it bigger so the next part is to drill the holes for the handle so they can be mounted on the what I just drill a hole in each of the angled bits that you made and then I'll show you next how the handle sits in surrounded just sits in like that and then you just want to drill the two holes in the wok to mount the handle I didn't actually film myself do that but and there's where the whole fan spike goes you know it smoke goes there long so there's handle in place are you smaller bolts in this in the end but I just wanted to show you the actual bolts in the handle you know that's how they go or in the other way item-level in here that's the spike mode the first time I did it in the end I added bigger washers and a bigger washer on the inside I thought you would add extra strain if you added a bigger washer so next I'll show you how it sort of looks partly finished put together it would be ready it looks now like you could use it like this now but there's couple more things I wanted to do I want to do something to the handle to stop your hand moving up and down but it's got the larger washer on there in a minute and handles ready I also need to add something underneath the handle which is piece of rubber you would use piece of car fear a piece of foam anything just to cover up that little nut because it it could damage your knuckles you hand twist on the handle I just had a piece of rubber so if quite a thick piece right about 10 mil so I just cut out a little bit in the middle of it for where the nut would go which I'll show you now you'll see if I just cut a little bit out of there like a divot and that's just to go over the nut there's not a bulge and then you could glue that in like I said you could use a bit of carpet piece of rubber it piece cardboard anything anything it will just cover up that little nut stop your hand touching it this piece of rubber I used was really good in the end it worked perfectly I found and even it was slightly tight when you have your hand in there which I found it made your grip tighter so I'm just gluing it on again you can use anything double sided tape any kind of glue just to stick that in and then I wanted to adjust the handle by putting two blocks of tape either side I would recommend taking the handle off at this point I didn't bother fastenings I just thought it'd be easy for me to just do like this but if you want to do it quicker tighten handle on dirt to keep wrapping I use masking at any table do till you make some thick bulges like that now you just want to take the whole handle up of any kind I would just use brown electrical tape what those bulges do they stop your hand moving up and down the handle now so now you've got handle your hand doesn't move up and down you've got padded knuckle part you know looking good so what it really needs that painting so the next thing I did which I'll show you in a second is I sanded and why I brushed the what because I see this was used what I used so yeah just rub it down ready for any kind of paint you could paint sprayer do everyone we can leave image something work paint I used was this hammer I director rust metal pipe quick drying don't need an undercoat it's just really quick you know that just happened to me what I had to be honest I got by that but I'm it worked perfectly for this so that's basic yeah I just painted the inside the outside gave it a couple of coats and then it was pretty much done I'll just show you that now final coat on it and then I'll talk to you about in a second so next thing you'll see is me stood in a room doing a bit of a short demo right then so this is the finished spiked Butler I'll do a demo soon that you can see the sort of size of it and how it sort of protect you blows come the gaps tear a slide off and yeah and a small shot shield but I'm under that I'll do a full review eventually it's just to finish off this media I'll put the bits there stop your hand move in the rubber to protect here yeah so you've got a shield to protect yourself with against blow some knives whatever but you've also got something you can hit with you know you can do this without the spike if you want I have the spikes are just watch out it got decent yeah stabbing thing on its own you probably just use this on its own the weight of it thrusting someone you know yeah that's the end of the homemade Butler spiked Butler um I will do a proper review on a demo soon so don't forget the like comment share and subscribe don't forget to visit my blog linked below and I hope you're doing video you
