okay today I'm going to show you how to do free for more free verse poetry it has no rhyme no set beat it's more like talking I want to show you two methods I'll show you using a picture of stimulus and doing what they call strength consciousness so let's get on to it the first thing we do is look at something like a picture and we'll look at this picture that's right here and you drop down all the things you think of when you look at it things that makes you feel things that you actually see see what kind of a list you come up with ok so I quickly jot it down the things that I thought of I've caught with those there the next thing to do is to say or do I like it the way it is or do I want to rearrange it so what I tend to do is say that out loud windows Brits of orange blue green grey slate bars on the door grassy slope cutting the heel of miners dwelling smoke hole so I'll sit with that little while see if I like it if not I'm going to rearrange it Kessler had one God rearranging it and that's what I've come up with and even while I was finishing that I was thinking that I wanted to rearrange it again but both of those on their own are poems whether we like more not as another matter and they don't have a head in fact as they stand they are therefore more free those palms so let's not take a look at what it would look like if we did something different if we tried something that was completely free for men there was the stream of consciousness so stream of consciousness is when a record exactly what you're thinking as you're thinking it and even any thoughts that flit through your head as well it's pretty hard to keep it honest but let's see how we go so I might start off with something that say what am I thinking hmm so we had a little bit of a time lapse then and this is what I've ended up with it looks like rain there's the smell of it too I can also smell my cake in the oven but i prefer take your own any day I want to get this finished so that I can do other things like fishing all right in my bite airdrops great fat steady drops getting quicker that's that then I'm not sure whether I actually like that or not I guess as it is though that is a poem and whether I would play around with that or not i'm not sure but that's how you do stream of consciousness and you've also seen how you use a picture to stimulate freeform poetry i want you to try one of those things now I've got some pictures saved in de map or you can find your own picture in a magazine and book or online if you want to don't spend too much time doing that though just get on with it give one of these ago and see what you come up with
