today we're going to make a healthy snack and for those either like french fries well this is a french fries substitute these are going to be baked yam fries I don't think I should call the pride because they're going to be baked so you go to a restaurant they're usually yeah I'm fry it because they deep-fry me no we're not deep frying these what you do you get the yams just wash them off get your damn sure the store cut each end off and take a nice sharp knife a long ways like this and then you dice it into smaller pieces like this I won't seem nice look at you no longer pieces there you'll love these things are so good you need to do thinner pieces like this so they look something like this when you're done and I do keep the skin on his skin is good for you and yams are better for you than potatoes you can also leave them with ugh sweet potatoes this honey meters off night no chef it's not going to be careful here okay so that's first half of it and then we're going to cut some more pieces off of this side so this is enough two feet three of us here I got my son and and Hillary I so we're going to be like this we're going like this need these the other day for Wendy and she just loved actually made them twice already a daughter like them too so kind of inner and they cook a lot faster cut up the other one after it just so you can get a min this year I've got the oven preheated at 350 degrees so we've got our nice thin young cuts here I'm also going to cut them in half now too one more time we'll go this way that easier because they're already laid out on the chopping block here okay so then we're going to go and put them in this bowl extra virgin olive oil sea salt and black pepper I like to put deal with them too but don't have any guilt Hillary's have a deal so I should have brought some from windows Wendy's got lots of it school like this so they're in the bowl like that and then you take your olive oil a little bit there to the sea salt or just about out of sea salt here black pepper and then we're going to sprinkle them and you can even put some spice with it if you want but I'm not going to put these place i think the pepper will be it's official and you kind of just mix them around so the oil coats now these are so good looking for black pepper sneeze okay so those are coated and then we laid them on this up tray here this is a song where tray so that's the first batch I'm gonna put some more in here too hey there there's your yams and I'm going to cut up the other one and add that to it very easy to do bake at 350 for about 30 to 40 minutes you can stick a fork in them you know after half hour to see if they're ready but when they're softer they're better so there you go you have it a nice i'm going to say fairly nutritious snack better than a french fries because these are deep-fried they're going to be baked baked yams cut into slices like french fries enjoy
