hello today we're going to teach you how to make a pew decoration with artificial or fresh flowers in a cone holder to make this arrangement you're going to need a plastic placemat that you can get at a local dollar store as well as artificial flowers that you can get our craft store these may come preassembled in two clusters or you may choose to assemble the clusters yourself with your choice of flowers and colors today we're going to use fresh flowers specifically hydrangeas to achieve our fact begin by preparing your place mat you're going to need to prepare it by spraying it in either silver gold or whichever color you wish after you have sprayed it please allow to dry for about 15 minutes before working with it you're also going to need ribbon gloves greenery and water tubes to keep your flowers - from dehydrating during the ceremony remember to use gloves when spraying your placemat to avoid getting your hands dirty begin to prepare your plaits snap by cutting the edges off of the bottom of your placemat this is done so that when you fold it there are no edges sticking out and it appears smooth and neat as you can see your product is going to look something like this this is after the paint has dried and you can now begin to fold your place nut and secure it into a cone shape we're going to secure the cone using a staple gun as well as a glue gun to ensure that the cone is neatly secured and will not come apart use a stapler to bind the edges and a glue gun for extra security place a few drops and then hold down with your fingers until dried this is going to take approximately 1 minute then you're going to need to punch holes on the back of the cone you're going to use those holes to hang your ribbon through in order to attach it to your seats however you may also choose to take the ribbon and secure it with a stapler prepare the ribbon and measure it to ensure that the length is sufficient for your seating take the ribbon and place it on the inside of the cone and secure it with a staple gun this will create a ribbon from which you can use to hang your cluster remember that length is important and make sure that the length is exactly what you need to achieve your effect secure it safely with a stapler and now as you see you have the finished cone holder of course feel free to get creative you may choose to use gems or additional ribbon on the face of your cone to create an effect this is entirely up to you feel free to get imaginative this is going to be the holder into which your cluster goes we're going to prepare our hydrangea clusters by taking three medium-sized hydrangeas and arranging them into a circular form since the hydrangeas are full and come with greenery we will not be needing too much make sure it looks round and full to create an additional effect you may choose to use other flowers trim excess stems so that you have approximately six or five inches remaining cut the ends of your stems and attach the water tubes to prevent dehydration during your ceremony make sure that the tubes have enough water in them since hydrangeas tend to drink a lot in order to stay firm next take a handful of bear grass you might choose to spray-paint your bear grass silver or gold or whichever accent you prefer place the paragraphs behind the hydrangeas and in addition you may opt to use aspidistra leaves to prop up the hydrangeas and add extra greenery and fullness so keep Enda high aspidistra leaves back and secure it with a stapler arrange the aspidistra leaves around your cluster cut off any excess stems and secure your final product with floral tape to ensure that nothing comes loose secure it a few times around the cluster to make sure the flowers are being firmly held in place remember of course you are free to get creative and add any extra flowers you wish such as roses this is entirely up to you this is what your final product should look like simply place the cluster into your cone holder arrange the greenery in bare grass and make sure that the cluster is safely nestled in your cone make any necessary adjustments to length that you see necessary this is your final product and I hope you enjoyed watching our tutorial you
