How to Make Peach Cobbler - Easy Homemade
Peach Cobbler Recipe Hello and welcome to In the Kitchen with Matt,
I am your host Matt Taylor. Today I am going to teach you how to make
an Easy Peach Cobbler. It is super yummy, super cheap, let's get
baking. For our ingredients we need, 1 cup of flour,
we need two cups of sugar, we need three teaspoons of baking powder, and one half teaspoon of
salt, we need a pinch of nutmeg, a pinch of ground cinnamon, we need 5 to 6 medium peaches
cut up, and I left the peel on, you can take the peel off if you want, we need one half
cup of butter, and we are going to melt this. And then we need the zest of one lemon, and
then we need the juice of half of this lemon. I have an 8x11 glass dish here. Ok first let's preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Now what I am going to do is I am going to
take my baking powder and my salt and put it in there with the flour. I am also going to take one cup of the two
cups of the sugar that we need and put that in there as well. And what I am going to do is I am going to
take a whisk and let's just whisk it together here. Try not to get it everywhere. Ok just like that. And then I am going to set this aside. And now what we want to do is we want to take
our butter and we want to melt it. So let's go to that step. I am going to melt it in the microwave for
20 to 30 minutes until it is completely melted. Um, if you notice I have a cup of milk here,
we need that as well, I didn't mention that earlier. So what I am going to do is I am going to
take my glass dish here, it doesn't have to be a glass dish, I am going to pour my butter
right there in the bottom, I am going to put this aside. I am also going to put this aside. And now I am going to take my mixture, my
flour mixture, and I am going to take my milk, and I am going to go ahead and pour it in
here, put that aside. Take the whisk, and we are going to just mix
this together. Ok now once it is all mixed together, set
the whisk aside here. Ok what I do is I take my pan, and I am going
to pour the batter right on top of the butter. I am not going to mix it, just leave it like
that, do not mix it around. Ok on to the next step. Ok now here on the stove, what we are going
to do is we are going to take our peaches and we are going to add them into this pot
here, pour our sugar on it, this is another cup of sugar, so that is a total of two cups
of sugar, one for the batter, and another for the peaches. Take a wooden spoon, we want to make sure
we stir this; I have the heat on medium right now. Let's go ahead and add the zest of this lemon. It is going to add some flavor. Lot's of flavor in the zest, give this a good
stir. And then I am going to cut this lemon in half,
and we will use the juice of about half of a lemon, or about 1 tablespoon. And now what I am going to do is turn up me
heat until about medium high. And then just keep stirring this. We are going to keep stirring this, and let
it cook, and we are going to keep doing this until it starts to boil. Ok we keep stirring until it starts to boil
like that. And now it is ready to go. I am going to take it off the heat. Ok now we take our batter mixture, and we
take our peaches and we just pour it on top like this. And then we just kind of move them around
a little bit. And then what we want to do is we want to
take our ground cinnamon and just put a little bit on top, like that, a little bit of nutmeg,
do the same with the nutmeg, just a little bit. And then we will put it in the oven and we
will bake it for 40 to 45 minutes. Ok, just took it out of the oven, it looks
amazing. All right our peach cobbler is done. It looks amazing; it smells amazing, I am
sure it tastes amazing. It was super easy to make, super cheap. I am Matt Taylor; this has been another episode
