hi I'm Angela price from Eden condense small space garden design today I'm going to show you how to prune grapevines on a trellis or Ann Arbor you want it when you plant grape vines to be able to put them on something that they're going to be able to climb up on so either Ann Arbor that you walk underneath a trellis which is flat against the wall or a fence line so that they've got some sort of frame to grow on now because grape vines do grow really quickly they will step away or start to grow away from your form and you'll want to be able to trim them either at the beginning of the season during the season and at the end of the season so the first thing you'll want to do is trim out any Deadwood that you see even though it may have some leaves growing on it you're probably not going to get any fruit off of that also over on this side here we've got one long one that's coming up and I'm going to follow it all the way back down to the main stalk and snip that off and you'll find that it might be connected to a few things as well so you want to keep working your way through you may need to get a ladder out if it's gotten too tall but always make sure that you're not pruning any of the actual grapes I've got a lot of grapes that are just starting to flower inside of here if you have any other questions on how to prune a grapevine are an arbor or trellis please contact me at WWE den condense calm thank you very much you
