Please explain how to french braid natural hair► for beginners step by step

Welcome Back Curlfriends! Today I'm going to show you guys how to create
these two French Braids. I'm starting off on stretched hair. If you're a beginner at this, no worries I'll
be showing you guys exactly how to achieve this very simply. You want to make sure that your hair is extremely
detangled. You don't want any type of snags or your fingers
to get caught while you're trying to braid your hair. Because I'm doing the two braids, I went ahead
and split my hair straight down the middle using a rat tail comb. Now if you have someone around you, obviously
you could get them to help you out making this part super straight. If not, just use the end of the rat tail comb
to get a semi-straight parting. You want to begin with the part of your hair
that is the non-dominant side. I'm right handed so I'm going to start on
my left side. I'm just using this hair butter by MyDNA Curls
to moisturize my hair. I'm just going to use a paddle brush to really
get this product throughout my hair to make it nice and smooth. If you're watching this video, I'm assuming
that you've already watch my how to plait video. If you watched that video, you are aware that
you need to have 3 pieces. You're going to have a left, right and middle
piece. The right side, will be the first section you'll grab. It will move to the middle. The left section will then rotate into the
middle. So you're pretty much just rotating the left
and right pieces to the middle section and grabbing hair as you go. So you're just adding in hair to the right
and left pieces only. Here's a slow-mo of exactly what I'm doing. So I have the left piece, going into the middle. The right piece, now going into the middle. The left piece going into the middle and I'm
grabbing hair with that left piece again as well as the right piece. It's a really simple technique guys. I promise you its super easy to achieve. Just pretty much practice the hand motions
of grabbing hair as you go. Once you get the technique down, you can go
ahead and actually style your hair. Because I'm going to be wearing this as an
actual style, I'm going to add in some Eco Styler Gel as well as my Boar Bristle brush
to smooth everything down. I am basing my hair with the Eco Styler along
my hairline as well as the actual parting. I'm just going to French braid my hair straight
back. Like I said, you're pretty much just rotating
the right piece to the middle, the left piece to the middle. As you are moving these pieces to the middle,
you are adding in just a small bit of hair. Because I am going to be wearing this out,
I did take a much longer time on this french braid. I took much smaller sections, that way I can
get a nice defined french braid. The larger the section of hair that you take,
the looser the braid will come out. The smaller the section of hair that you take,
the more defined and more rippled effect that you'll get with you're actual braid. Once you get to the back, it's pretty much
a simple plait. If you watched the "How to Plait Hair" video,
you'll have this technique down. Now I can move on to the right side and just
finish off my hairstyle. The difference between a Cornrow and a French
Braid is the French braid is like a inverted braid. It's super flat whereas the actual cornrow
braid is a 3D Braid. It will stick outside of your head vs the
French braid. So French braids are really great for if you
have a lot of thick hair and you're wanting to protective style under the wig or something. If you want your hair to be super flat, this
would be the perfect braiding technique to choose. Last but not least our entire style is finished. So I'm just going to lay down those baby hairs. This is totally optional. You guys know I love to slick down my baby
hairs. Here is the final product. Super easy right? So I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Be sure to comment below, what you think about
the tutorials. Are they helpful? Am I breaking it down easy enough? Be sure to check out my "How to Plait Hair"
