hi there chef Jim Davis here for Harris Teeter I'm going to show you now how to cut an acorn squash for roasting we're going to use my cleaver right in half and right down through the middle just like that you need to use a heavy knife these wetter squashes are pretty good pretty heavy we're going to scrape out the seed just like this that's 1/2 ready for roasting then we'll scrape the seeds out of this one now to make this one set flat for roasting we're going to take our cleaver and just cut off that slice off the bottom so this that's flat in your roasting pan that's how you cut and prepare an acorn squash for roasting you
