okay so here I am again with my Kershaw scallion so right over on the side here is the lock it has this little switch which you can push back and forth and you'll notice that when you push it back and forth it moves this little piece of plastic that keeps the blade from open so like now that the lock is engaged there you can see it's covering the edge of the blade and so if I try to open it like I can't and so if I push this down then you can see that now it is no longer on front of the blade and now I could
