hello YouTube I'm going to show you how to replace your head unit on a 2013 subaru forester now I've looked all over YouTube myself and I cannot find a single video on the 2013 subaru forester it's a whole bunch but I couldn't find it so I just tried something out it actually worked so you don't need to go inside your glovebox you don't need to go into your steering wheel and disconnect these knobs all you need to do is this plastic piece right here that's all you need to take out you don't need to start down here anything now I've already taken it out for the convenience of the video but just put your fingers or like a piece of paper don't use something really sharp because you will damage this material I've already done that putting this back on so you just want to like keep getting around it make sure you're applying pressure but you don't want to break anything this is pretty hard plastic even though it's abs so once you have this off you have four screws one here one here and then on the opposite sides too so you want to take that out put in your head you're going to do all the wiring and everything put it back in with your dash kit and then just put this back on that's really all there is to it now of course whenever you're disconnecting this make sure because the security is flashing so at least have the key in so that you're not setting off any alarms or anything not sure that happens but there is security feature so people can't steal it so that's all there is to it if you guys have any questions comment down below don't forget to subscribe like favorite share this video with your friends if you want to alright thanks for watching
