hi my name is Jackie Keller and my company is called neutrophil I'm here today to show you how to make low-fat raisin bran muffins it's a very easy recipe in fact it's like having cereal and milk there are three key ingredients that make this recipe very special first bran flakes unsweetened bran flakes you have to check the box to make sure that what you're buying has no sugar and is a hundred percent whole grain second nonfat milk make sure you're using fat-free milk and if you're lactose intolerant you can use soy milk almond milk rice milk one-and-a-half cups next an egg substitute this is a fat-free cholesterol-free egg product if you don't have it you can use one whole egg or two egg whites it's a very simple recipe again you're going to mix your cereal with your milk you can let it sit for a minute or just move on add your egg substitute 1/4 cup 2 tablespoons of safflower oil stir it up to soften the cereal at the same time you'll want to pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees and prepare a 12-cup muffin tin with a little bit of cooking spray next you add one and a half cups of whole wheat flour and about a half a cup of brown sugar you might want to add a teaspoon of cinnamon one and a half teaspoons of baking soda along with a little bit of salt and as many reasons as you like I'm using about a half a cup stir the whole thing together you can leave some lumps doesn't have to be perfectly smooth in fact you don't want to overwork the batter because it will toughen the muffins once you have all the wet and dry ingredients incorporated take your scoop scoop one into the muffin tin and this is what its gonna look like when it comes out of the oven my name is Jackie Keller my company is nutri fit thanks for watching
