Please explain how to cook soft-shell crabs

hey everybody welcome back to the Wolfe pit today and making sauteed softshell crabs which is one of my favorite ways the Chesapeake Bay blue crabs if you've never tried softshell crabs you don't know what you're missing so let's get started when you get your softshell crabs you need to make sure the inedible parts are removed or remove them yourself these crabs came already cleaned from harbor house crabs with apron removed the eyes and mouth removed and the gills removed and then you want to Pat these dry on paper towels then in a large skillet over medium-high heat at olive oil clarified butter garlic and crush red pepper now saute for 30 seconds now add the crabs top shell down for a full printable copy of this recipe and many more visit the Wolfe pit com let the crabs cook for five minutes then add white wine lemon juice salt and pepper now flip the crabs over and let them cook for another five minutes now turn the heat off and add some fresh chopped parsley toss the crabs round flip them over and let them finish clicking with a residual heat for about one to two minutes and there you have it sauteed Chesapeake Bay softshell crabs and for those of you not familiar with eating soft-shell crabs there's no picking involved like with other crabs you eat the whole entire crab shell in all it's all tender and delicious if you like softshell crabs I have another soft-shell crab recipe coming up real soon thank you all very much for watching I hope you give these a try please don't forget to like this video and subscribe and I'll see you next time you
