hi this is Louisa of crafty Lewis crochet this is the fourth part in my series and I said today I would show you how to do a UK treble crochet so I've got my chain on the hook I've done it chunky wall so hopefully you'll be able to see what I'm doing a little bit better so we're going to treble crochet into the chain so you don't count your first stitch doesn't count then you give one two I'm going to treble crochet into this one here you've got your hook you just wrap the wool around the hook once and then in you go through that stitch and you're going to wrap it again pull it back through so you've got three loops on your hook then we're going to wrap the wall around the hook pulling it back through the first two loops and then you're going to wrap it again and pull it back through again so then you've got your first treble then into the chain so you wrap the hook through the loop wrap it again I'm gonna back smooth and you go I said this is a UK treble crochet think the American term for it is a double crochet it's a little bit confusing so now we've got two trebles and how long we go along the chain when you get to the end of the chain in order to turn your work you will need to chain three this time and that counts as your first stitch you can do all sorts with a triple crochet it's commonly used for a brownie square which I'll show you later on in the series if you're enjoying my tutorials so far please feel free to subscribe to my channel and you'll get an update when the next video comes along thanks for watching
