about ready to make this seam it's going to show a couple different tools that we use when we put the seam together we use these different tools which we call tractors this tractor here is smooth and it doesn't caused too much disturbance of the carpet but it still helps embed the carpet back into the glue this here tractor has got these teeth but what happens is it roughs up the carpet and you can see the seam more noticeably and what i mean by that is that this carpet was in a 800 pound roll and it was flat as a pancake and so if you just use this tractor all around the seam you'll fluff that up and it'll be all a different different thickness basically the pile will be fluffed up compared to the rest of the carpet that's just flat so what you want to do is have that happen the least amount possible and the best thing to do is to use a tractor like this that's nice and smooth and then the customer can gradually vacuum and do different things and that will then bring the pile of the carpet up naturally through vacuuming i also use a wooden board here to help hold extra weight down and then i have my toolbox tray so here's the seam tape that i use and then i have my iron so i'm going to go ahead and make this seam
