Welcome to Pins and Things. Today, I'm going to show you guys how to make these house tie chocolate-covered strawberries from Harry Potter Isn't that hilarious? The lightning bolt and eyeballs Okay, so the first thing we have here is wax paper and I have my chocolate completely melted and ready to go I'm going to take the strawberries and dip them into the chocolate And this is just going to be a base coat of white chocolate underneath our school uniform. This can also be done for brides and grooms and dipping all the red in the strawberry to be covered with the white So that we have plenty of space to put a tie on By the way, super important thing to note. You want to make sure that your strawberries have completely cooled of the previous color you put on them before you put another one on or else they'll just mold to mesh together and make a really sloppy mess and check out my Hogwarts shirt. I'd rather be at Hogwarts It's so cute. I got this from one of you guys so thank you. Another little fun fact If you look at this one right here, it's not so shiny and that's because it's starting to harden And you don't get any chocolate on you when it's hardened, but over here if I were to touch this one or this one They're all a little bit still shiny and that means that they're still melted and not hardened Okay I decided to put those in the fridge so that they have they go a little bit faster Also, never put them in the freezer where they will get ruined. While that's happening, I'm going to put these in the microwave and melt them and get them ready to go for our next layer And now I'm just actually looking at a picture on Pinterest of what I want my strawberries to look like. They're inspired by this picture here, so I'm just going to go ahead and dip the two sides in black It just needs to look kind of like a suit or the front of a sweater. Perfect. We're just making the white on here turned into a triangle Dipping the rest in the black chocolate, and then I'm gonna put it over here to cool So I'm gonna do that to all of the rest of them, and then we can put on our house ties. Okay they're all completely hardened. They're not coming off at all and they look great, so we're gonna go ahead and melt our house colors I've got some red chocolate Completely melted and ready to put in a baggie and then cutting off the corner And then just using that as the tip to decorate. I'm in Gryffindor and that's why I'm doing Gryffindor first So about two-thirds of the way up, I'm putting a dot, and I'm just playing a game that's called connect the dots so anywhere that there's a dot I'm just connecting them. So the bottom of the tie looks like elongated diamond And then I just fill in the inside, and then the top is a triangle and the same thing I just fill in the inside of that triangle. Okay. We've got three of our four colors. Now I have my yellow, and I just need to mix it all together. It was all melted already. After we do this last tie, we'll be ready to put our stripes on our ties I'm not squeezing it all It's just popping out on its own really easily, or I might be squeezing it just a tiny tiny tiny bit That looks great They're finished Don't they look gorgeous and delicious and doesn't that just make you want to take a giant bite out of them? Beautiful. Oh my goodness. This just looks so gorgeous Ready to eat. Oh that looks so delicious. Is it good? What color did you pick? Red.
