alright thanks for watching the DIY daddy channel my name is dawn I'm your host and this video is going to be on how to magnetize a tool so all the times we have these tools will not magnetized and sometimes you have a screw that's in a hard place to get to and you know you try and set the screw on and you reach in there and sometimes the screw falls off and just annoys you so what I'm going to do is I'm going to take this screwdriver and show you how to magnetize it it's really easy all you need is a strong magnet which is this one I got from scrapping a hard drive you can use any kind of strong magnet right so what you're going to do is you're going to take this magnet and your screwdriver and stroke it down in this in one direction right make sure you only go in one direction right you do that several times right now the magnet doesn't stick to your screwdriver that means that it's not made out of ferrous material and it cannot be magnetized so make sure that sticks first so your rubbish she shines now if we take a look over here at our pile of paper clips we can see that mmm it's all magnetized that's all there is to it alright so you can do that with you know any any metal tool that is that a magnet will stick to you can make it magnetic just by rubbing a magnet on it and that's it thanks for watching see you later
