today's video I'll be fishing for one of my favorite species the flounder more commonly known as the black back powder or even more well known as the winter flounder now before we can get started one of the first things we're going to do is we've got to go get some bait now clams make excellent excellent flounder bait so come along and we'll go get something what I'm looking for these telltale holes that they hide in and I think there's one right there now I like to make a dig behind you then come in right at over top a little bit deep and gets it down for them there he is that's what they look like so they call a soft y'all clam now I'll show you how I shuck them away from here slide it right around that relief just stop y'all just pull it away come in here release it from the bottom shelf there's a little membrane on here you should tear that off I like to have that next I'm going to show you how I give up my rod since I'll be fishing pretty much vertical I like to keep it very simple and this is about as simple as it get tie my hook one I just use an improved clinch knot go around four or five times bring it back through the loop and back to that loop you just made I always remembered to wet it though not that off of the perixx near clippers maybe vote two feet up your line put on your split shot over up there really good and tight I'm putting your bait on you like to have a little bit of shank on your hook that's why I choose these hooks because you want to put it down through feed it up through there so if you get short strikes still catch them just like that now that we're all geared up let's go put the boat in there's ten fish to limit per day per person and let's just go see if we can't go get a limit this is how far away in from the shore put my boat in right over there now officially using the Chum pot today we want to use to anchor this is what my chump art looks like it's just a little water cage with a bungee pulls it shut works good since we'll be fishing pretty much vertical you just want to do a little flip cast out from the boat people from tangling that should be flying right there have tendon your lawyer you just want to let set there and every I don't know maybe 10-15 seconds just pick it up a little bit you don't feel anything drop it back down do that until you get a bite engine when you do just a little my have it and when you get a strikes get the light tap and when you get just want to bear down on what what I'm talking about it's a really strong when there's a little guy very big Goodson front panel a little bit better here's a nice one oh yeah oh yeah Oh anything strong there we go now that's what we're talking about that's a lot better fish I had to get it all on the film here mix number ten I got my limit this one's number 10 oh yeah great on if you ever get a chance to go out and fish for these don't pass it up oh yeah right on there's some good eating there we've got our limit mission accomplished well thank you guys for coming out today to watch my video and special thanks to put subscribers two thumbs up
