Please explain how to: sound deadening material installation (dynamat, hushmat, fatmat, ect)

hey YouTube what's going on back again I got a video here too hopefully teach a couple people how to do Dynamat and other brand-name install sound-deadening installs it's not too difficult you have sticky tar on one side usually aluminum foil on the other side different brands are making it now used to be just dynamite back in the 90s and so the the brand I'm installing today this is leftovers brand I'm installing today's stinger and it seems to be exactly the same as this just with a different logo so I'm going to show you how to put this into the door alright first thing you need to do obviously is take off the door panel I'm not going to show you how to do that in this video I have done that already so I'm going to post that in the link in the description below the next thing you want to do after you have the door panel off is take the speaker back out so you unplug it hopefully have a drill to make your life easier alright next you're going to take off this foam insulating pad thing that they put from the stock dealership you're going to reuse this so don't [ __ ] it up all right you're gonna it has this same kind of sticky car that's on the Dynamat behind here to hold it on it's the same kind of stuff so make sure when you're peeling it use your fingers to keep it on here all right next step grab your Dynamat or equivalent and you're going to need a sharp knife when I say sharp I mean sharp because this hard stuff gets on the blade and it doesn't want to cut since I already did the other half of the car yesterday I just flip your blade around I would say use half a blade for each side of the car all right so you got to look for flat edges and make a tinny noise where the metal can flex and make noise and make other sounds and tones that aren't naturally coming out of your stereo or they're just annoying from road noise so this will cut down on your road noise and it will make your stereo sound more clean all right now that we have that just put on by hand you're going to need something to put pressure on it to make it stick for good they sell fancy rollers and all kinds of weird looks like carpet installation deals you don't need that [ __ ] I mean if you're trying to make it look pretty and you want to use a roller so you don't leave a bunch of marks on it hey that's your your deal but all I use is I'm using my panel remover tool but anything that has a decently big handle with round edges on it so you don't cut into the Dynamat um would work so just don't do anything square with any kind of sharp edges and then you just proceed to press on and that's all there is to it see how leaves a mark some people don't like that I don't care as long as it stays on the car all right everyone this is what it should look like after you repeat the same thing I did over and over so that's the one piece of the factory put in so you just put it in with your hands rub it in I also put some underneath on the second skin that way it doesn't this second skin doesn't rattle either you do not have to put it everywhere you just have to put enough of it to where when you bang on it the tone goes from a high-pitched vibration to a low-pitched Fudd then you know you did it after you're done with all that guy's simple just reverse the steps to take the door panel off put it all back together and you're done on the trunk since my subs back there I did almost put it everywhere but if you have a mild setup you don't need to put it everywhere one box of maybe you could probably stretch a box at 12 square foot to do the entire car so yeah I hope that you found this helpful I don't forget to Like share subscribe favorite all that stuff and until next time wrench on
