hello everyone this is an update of my villa trees I took a cutting and of one branch and then from that made four and out of four three survived and one died in the winter and this one again was buying or is dead from here where my finger is running all this part is dead and from here I can see the dead bit and where the live rains are and at some stage it will be carved and what I'm going to do now is give it a quick prune let's just quickly drawn these the punches are crossing big Bill's out the second of the willow trees that survived out of four three survived and the fourth one didn't last winter as I said earlier yeah good a quick turn and I'm going to shorten all these branches this is the growth from earlier the Seattle to now and I'll start pruning ask going the wrong way and sharing some of these is crossing over and perhaps today they'll grind in over again this is the last of the willow cuttings and it has quite a lot of foliage and the growth is also fairly even and I will start tidying up the fault and also remove the stones as I have done with the two previous cuttings and as the roots have really established smash thing Wow it's quite hard to get out I think should get easier now are there young as a second money one more stone to take out that's it although you take up these leaves yeah it's quite secure in the in the bottom remove the ones which are going straight up and crisscross ink while there we are I think that should do for now and I'll have to try and turn it around I haven't been turning it a lot so more of the growth is this slide and I'm going to now going to place it so that this side faces a Sun and we get not on growth here this part is dead so I'm removing the top part and then we'll chip away at the rest of it and also may have to consider planting it at a at a slight angle now I'm going to take this out of the pot and see what's going on it has actually grown roots as you can see have gone through the pot and I have to cut this off here you're not going to come through and let's get rid of that what if I remember just stop the roots going straight down I had a little bit of plastic and that's what we have the roots have gone round the plastic that I put in and that's just going to cut these edges off and work with this it looks quite neat I have repaired the mesh wire and we two millimeter wire to go through it to secure the - into the pot and here I'm going to turn these out so that the soil doesn't come through and cut off the slightly excess wire and we are ready to start on catch option coming removing the soil very very gently with this break and this look root oak and it's got to be done fairly gently and when I'm teaching I tell students to do this for the imagine that they are untangling their partner wife or girlfriends hair and treat it the clearing up the tidying up of the roots in a similar manner to be very very gentle and not pull and not break the roots we have washed the roots and managed to clean them up and this is what they look like I'm just going to trim these a little bit before I put it in its new so I'm going to go about to here and from this side also shorten them up a bit I think that should do this enough if I wash the roots there's lot of gap not of a pocket so we've got to find that all the air pockets out and these chopsticks work a treat to be on the safe side I'm I am going to place a few rocks in the vault and just to support the tree as I had done previously so that should go here and yeah I think you give it a quick turn and that's what it looks like for now and the pot is a terracotta pot which deals very well with the winter conditions and should be okay all that remains now is for me to give it a thorough soaking and place it in its tray which is all stantly has water in it and the root source of the soil remains constantly moist because of the water in the tray in which it sets until we do an update the signal column for make bonsai thanks for watching and please subscribe
