hi Ashley again for those of you that don't know me I work in quality control and at the farm here at Meadow Brook Ford's today I'm going to show you how to cut open your gourd and how to clean it out the first thing you want to do is decide what you're going to make today I'm going to make our crafts project when you decide what you're going to make you're going to want to draw on your pattern with a pencil when they're all finished cutting your design on your board you're going to want to use a board all to poke the starter holes for your jigsaw blade when using the board all you're going to poke multiple holes right in a row sometimes it helps to wiggle it back and forth when you're jigsaw blade does fit into the hole you do not want it to be a snug fit you want it to be loose otherwise you could break your blade and when you're putting your jigsaw into the hole you want to make sure that you're doing it very gently I am using a proxxon jigsaw with an optional foot pedal to cut this cord open before you start doing anything you want to make sure that you have your safety glasses on and your mask on once we're finished cutting your gourd you want to gently pull it apart the next thing I'm going to show you is how to clean out your board if you're going to light your gourd you must clean it out it could be a fire hazard if you don't do to all of this stuff on the inside if you're not going to let your gourd you don't have to clean it out the first thing you want to do is get out as much as you can with your hands once you get out as much with your hand as you can you're going to want to use a gourd scraper here I have three different gourd scrapers and they each have a different size and shape depending on what size and shape board you're working on you're going to take the teeth end and just start to scrape it all on the sides of the gourd when you're finished scraping your gourd if you have anything left on the inside you can use a kitchen scouring pad to get the rest of it out I am now ready to finish crafting my Casper guy if you have any questions about how to clean out your board or how to cut it open please call us at seven one seven seven seven six three four seven zero or email us at sales at and begorrah
