Please explain how to: making a no-sew small animal hammock

i'm caitlin i'm rihanna and this is all about ferrets today we're going to be showing you how to make a small animal hammock the things you will need will be two pieces of fabric one is a sheet or you can buy a thin material from your local fabric store and the other is a fleece blanket or you can either buy fleece from your local fabric store you'll also need some yarn and some scissors the first thing what you're going to need to do is line up your two pieces of fabric together corner to corner edge to edge it doesn't have to be perfect but this is going to be a no-sew small animal hammock and what you're going to need to do is you're going to have to make sure that the measurements are bigger than what you want your hammock to be because you're going to be cutting slits and tying it and that's what's going to make your hammock smaller than what the original measurements are you can measurement you can use a ruler to measure it but you don't really need to so i'm going to cut it right about there and that's probably about two feet cut it all the way out take it all the way over and then you're going to cut this side now that we've looked back at our cutout we saw that it was too big and trimmed it first what you're going to need to do is cut all four corners and to do so you need to take the silver part or metal part of your scissors and line it up with that and then cut that part so you need to now that you have all four corners cut out you go to these sides and cut slits i already have two made and you repeat that on all the sides this is what it looks like when they're all finished now what you want to do when you have cut all of them out is you want to tie them double knotted try not to mix them up with the other one or they'll just look crazy this is what you're going to do so that you can do something later on with the yarn next what you're going to do is take your yarn and cut four even pieces of string take one of your pieces and find one of the most the corner most knot on one of the corners and then stick your finger in between the two pieces of fabric and make it come back out the other side of that knot put your piece of yarn on your finger and pull through like so take the yarn out pull it over the knot and then tie it in knots whatever you feel is the most secure i do it at like around four or three times and they've never fallen or broken off and that's you have yarn for one corner and you'll repeat that on all four corners this is what it's going to look like when it's hanging up in its cage and this is what it looks like when it's all fully done it's an interchangeable no sew small animal hand make you can do it on the soft fleece side in the winter or you can do it on this side in the summer if if where you are gets really hot like us thanks for watching see you next week on all about ferrets don't forget to rate comment and subscribe bye
