Please explain how to 2012 no carving

hey i'm JC Frias I'm from Texas living in Utah with my partner of three years and our pets I love hosting dinner parties and gatherings and enjoy making everything look adorable in my home join me on learning some tips of doing it yourself and being creative hey everyone how's it going today thanks for watching this video so it is that time of year fall Halloween and it is the best season ever or one of the best ones because I'm like in love with Christmas but anyways so Chevron's are like super in right now I think they're really awesome and this is just gonna be such a fun project and let me show you what you gotta do and I'll give you some tips on how to tape it and right now it's middle of September you probably won't find a lot of real pumpkins everywhere so best thing is use fake pumpkins the best place I found them or was that Michael's right now it's like 50% off and it's usually always like that if not just take a coupon it needs to get 40% off brushes I got these at Michaels I think these are $3 to something $3 anyways you're gonna need some paint brushes you're also gonna need your painters tape and you're also gonna need your paint this one's really good it's a little bit more expensive than like your regular craft paint but it dries on a lot thicker and usually when you're doing white if you get the cheaper white pink you have to do one coat after another after another and I don't want to do that so get a nice paint this is I got two of these for $5 at Michaels so I'm going to just chevron pattern you can do it from top to bottom all the way or you can just do something bold in the middle or you can do just like 3/4 on smaller lines you can write your house number on there you can write something cute that says boo you can dip dye them so that half of its orange and the rest is like black or the rest is white or green or whatever color you're doing I gotta stand so me draw like a crow or an owl on there and then I would probably just do that with the sharpie seriously because you will stay in the lines that are dry really fast and it's gonna do the same thing too bad there's not really a right sharpie okay when you're doing your chevron stripe if you do a deeper zigzag then it's gonna be easier when you start going up and when you start going down if you do a small thin zigzag in other words that's really sharp it's gonna be very hard it's not impossible but it's harder to kind of take it through so I kind of show you some ideas so this is gonna be a deeper V okay and I'm just gonna run that ball across it and then you could get really meticulous and measure up all your good tape strips so that it's perfect or you can just do it like me and we get just a middle and it was still coming out really cute believe me and another thing you could do and grab a pencil and just measure it around and draw a line all around and all around on the bottom so you know exactly where they hit and that way it's even but then you have to go back and you really sit you see my videos I'm so much more just just do it it doesn't have to be perfect but it would look awesome and no one's gonna be able to tell and I just like that type of look so let's keep going and you want to make sure that when you tape it you just tape it right on top so that it is even see that if you kind of have to play around with the tape and slide it just a little that's fine just make sure that you have that point here and the point up here okay and you're just gonna follow that all the way through all the way around and then second is you're gonna start applying the rest of your tape under here and this is seriously the easiest part of it so this guy took a lot of time but I was able to get all of that taped on make sure that you're pressing the tape when you do tape it on into all these creases here so when you paint it doesn't seep through that but yeah that is one of the suckers all done well half or he's done because it's Jeff de pinna is you're gonna apply your white paint you're going to need about two coats of this I'm just gonna do the bold white stripe and then when it's all dry I'm going to do the line strike around okay you want to make sure it's a nice thick solid coat and that the white stays on there first coach to apply second coat is to make sure your strokes are nice and pretty so when you paint try not to get in the tape because it won't lift the lid off on the corners but if you did a very good job pressing it down it should be fine some paint might come off that's fine because I was just the first coat since it's so kind of wet not wet but it's not fully dried you can get a paper towel or rag add a little bit of water and if you see any specks of paint that you kind of miss you can just rub it on scratch it off you're gonna grab your smaller paintbrush and you're just gonna go ahead and reapply the white paint all throughout and then I'm tidying up all those edges and making sure that it's nice and crisp okay so the last step is just adding all the details I'm still not done with this but just an idea I have black and the white and then black stripe white and I'm gonna add another little black stripe so it's gonna look super cute when I'm done with that leave it all white just touch it up or you can add like I want to do the block because it's for more of the fall Halloween and so I thought that would look really cute I hope you guys have fun you guys enjoyed this video and thanks for watching again and I have work videos to come I'm excited about all the Halloween stuff so more great ideas and tell your friends and yeah anyways bye you
