hi nihal i'm chef tom i'm going to show you how to make mongolian beef i have half cup spanish onion half cup green onion i have two strip of the flank steak i already cut one strip i'm going to show you how to cut this we're going to use like a slice and then we're going to marinate the steak and we'll show you how to make it okay okay simple marinade five spice powder sprinkle some cooking wine one teaspoon one teaspoon soy sauce and just drizzle some sesame oil and you want the steak to be room temperature and you marinate it for maybe 15 minutes and then we're gonna stir-fry don't put any starch i'll tell you why later okay high heat wow one tablespoon cooked oil and you put the marinated beef in and you're gonna saute for like a couple minutes beautiful meat nice color nice okay now we're gonna add the green onion and the spanish onion in give it a quick flip and we're gonna add some ginger and garlic give them a quick mix it smells so amazing some cooking wine slice up and a quick stir use your lid to cover up you want to create the heat let the heat increase the reason i don't want to marinate with the corn starch if you have a cornstarch once you're cooking for the stir-fry the tendency will go to a little bit like the liquor will come out more juice for some reason and we want to evaporate the juice of the steak when you stir fry too so we want a nice color lightly brown and nice sears on the steak that's what you want all right it's good a little bit beef stock just tiny bit maybe like a couple months closer again we want the beef to be tender not overcooked a lot of time people stir fry they ask me how can my stir-fry turn out into like juice because the meat you have to pat dry you don't want to have any water otherwise when you put it almost like steam all right so now a little cornstarch i put one tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with two three ounces of water and you just drizzle a little bit at a time to thicken up the sauce very simple easy to make temperature drop close it up again see how easy that is you always want the temperature nice and hot about 45 seconds ready beautiful drizzle some sesame oil here's your mongolian beef home style yeah here's your chinese mongolian beef home style the beef is very tender very easy and simple dish to make not require too much time at all and the beef have a very nice seared color and the sauce just enough to drizzle a little bit some over your rice i'm chef tom i hope you liked the video please subscribe and comment i see you next time bye
