hey everyone its event and today I'm going to show you how to make a minecraft creeper t-shirt I'm obsessed with this game called minecraft and thinking back I definitely have a pattern like I'm not really heavy into gaming like I'll play a game if it's there but the ones that I get really into are the ones that don't have an objective in middle school it was runescape then it was Harvest Moon and how it's Minecraft so yeah I'm kind of obsessed with this game right now and not just the game but I really really love this subculture and this is part of it creepers I love creepers so I'm gonna show you how to make this t-shirt keep watching it's a really really easy technique even if you're not into minecraft even if you don't want to make this specific t-shirt it's a really really great technique for making really really professional-looking t-shirts teachers that look like they've been silk-screened when really you're just you know playing around with a bit of tape a bit of paint it's really easy so keep watching start by sketching a 6 by 6 grid roughly centered in the Sun of your shirt I'm using tailors chalk which is made of talc and wax and we'll wash it completely when I'm done but if you know tailors chalk graphite pencil works pretty well to tape off your design using masking tape because making internal corners is a little bit difficult I'm gonna do this in two steps first marking off a two by two square each top corner to be the eyes and an 8 by 2 rectangle one square below that to do the mouth next you need to start painting I'm using a foam stippling brush and fabric paint intended for stenciling or screen printing but you can really use any fabric page or even acrylic paint acrylic paint once it cures is permanent on fabric however because it's not intended for fabric it is kind of stiff it doesn't have the best effect it doesn't move or stretch with the fabric so it's not really the best choice whatever paint you do use though don't water it down don't weight your brush because this can cause the paint to kind of bleed under the tape and that's not gonna look very good um it's also important that you use a stippling motion when applying the paint I'm not only will this give you a smooth and uniform coverage but if you were to use like brushstrokes you could accidentally force some of the paint under the tape and end up with edges that aren't very sharp and you don't want that when the paint is dry to the touch you can peel off the masking tape and then you can begin the second phase of your creeper face by repeating the same steps of taping everything off um but this time you're going to tape off the lower corners of its mouth and either the upper lip or the nose whatever you want to consider that and then just applying paint again once you're finished painting and it's dry a bit you can remove the tape then I recommend just following the package directions from your paint mine were to let it dry for 24 hours iron it and then let it cure for an additional 72 hours before washing that's an awfully nice shirt you got there be a shame if anything were to happen to it I'm actually really really happy with how this turned out the lines are just so sharp and so professional-looking I really like the masking tape technique I've done this before same technique but using other types of tape using freezer paper using shelf paper masking tape definitely works the best so if your reminder have fan give this a try it's better than spending like 20 bucks or whatever from I think geek to get one of these shirts on because it's so easy to do on your own and if you're not a minecraft fan you can still use this technique to do other shirts or you can check out www.microsoft.com/mechanics to subscribe and you can also check out my website WWE TLC um however disclaimer there's nothing there
