welcome to comes of guitars this is a bit of a tester video I'm experimenting a little bit with some of our brand new stunning stains by Crimson guitars try to think of another realtor ation brands with crimson but just not gonna work as though all right and I have got here a pine no it's not pine it is a spruce test telecasters style body that we've it's one of the testers we've made for our new range of kid guitars and check out cribs guitars calm if you're interested in those but I've got some interesting stains here we've got a faded blue a blue a purple and white and I want to see what happens if I try and do one of those Pyrrhus stains where they actually fade it threw up the body instead of a burst they do it with a rag and with a similar stain do ours and well I've never done it before and I just wanted to see what it looks like and if it's actually possible yeah so here we go lesser tutorial and more an experiment and of course a slight bit of sales pitch because hey Crimson guitar stunning stains and check them out link in the description below I suppose there is no excuse for a poorly sounded finish before you apply a stain it just doesn't work now take a tissue paper fold it in but first of all make sure it's a fairly substantial tissue or if not you want to lint-free cloth of some sort and I'm going to go from from purple app and let's just say this is a this is almost a throwaway instrument it's this is this is a test bed actually Wow I'm almost tempted just to do the whole thing purple and leave it at that look at that all right so other perpend on the other side one two three four five one two three four five now let's make the purple slightly bigger and as you see you apply it and then run back across what you've applied already and that stops any any lines appearing in your stones now that is a stunning color there yourself here that color once used to have here once okay and I'm going for the royal blue or the dark blue I'm going on the other side of the litter rag and let's see what happens when you sort of try and blend it in that's that's blending okay actually now what I think what I suspect I can do then go over that blend as well with a little bit of water because these are water bet waterborne or water-based stains so essentially it's a stain carried by water and we have another little bit of tissue now this is the experiment I've literally never done this I've just sprayed just water on there and I'm just there we go just easing that joint in joints not to join us sir it's bettering it wipe away the excess well I mean you're not over stained so that's just giving a bit of excess away and lift alright thank bit more blue whoo-hoo okay so there's my vet slightly sick up okay now we've got another type of blue and this is the faded I'm not even sure what we've called it it's based on the the purist faded blue or blue jeans something other I'm not doing the read mo I made this all just a little bit too thin as you can see this is a much lighter color and it's diluting into the the royal blue now I'm going to try and get that line to be less this distinct I think I've made slightly too large of a jump between the dark blue and the light blue here okay so what I'm going to do is go back to my dark blue rack I just add a little bit more steak okay now that I've got too many bottles portunity box in front of me now it's small dark blue and finally our translucent white which really is I'm really really excited by this always shake everything up life's not worth living if you're not causing a bit of a fuss nice aim and again I'm after fresh a little bit of tissue here and this white is very subtle actually I'm gonna shows up better on slightly darker woods you know what I see anything I'm not that happy with anyhow let's mix that mix there then we don't have to use the white on something else I think that we just need to go into lighter and lighter blue in this particular case so what I'm going to do then is I'm going to go back to our faded blue and this is the this is the joy that we have experimenting and playing with color and wood oh there we go huh what do you think well I am going to do more videos experimenting with the different colors we've got everything from black to red too of course we've got red with crimson guitars there's a range of colors and we're adding more
