on this video we're going to install a p200 white rogers programmable thermostat these make life very nice you can program it to come on certain days certain times either the heat or the air conditioning if you're coming home you want the house warm or set it prior to the time you come home and it's all nice when you get here wake up in the morning cold set this kick the heat on a certain time before you get it house is nice and toasty when you wake up ready to get that breakfast going so let's unpack it and let's install it now you're probably going to need a blade of some sort because these things are pretty well sealed it's hard to get into it so we're gonna be careful not to cut anything so what i'm gonna do go on the back side i'm just gonna go around this edge and cut this because i don't want to damage anything with the insulation or with the product there we go now see what all we have in here of course we got the instructions we have mounting hardware whoops we have the unit itself and get this out of here now there we go and then there's the face plates so let's go through the instructions real quick we'll just see just exactly what we need to do now what do do i always tell you when you buy something you bring it home unpack it first thing you do before you go any further you check the packing content to make sure everything is there and what does it say here part one before getting started check package contents make sure everything is here so you have one thermostat wall plate yep and cover yep two mounting screws and wall anchors that be them wire label it's your wire labels installation instruction user guide and that's all this all the information so everything's here we're good so now basically tools needed screwdriver i guess it doesn't come with batteries so you're going to need batteries double a's pliers hammer and a drill first thing we need to do is turn off the power to air cushion heating at the breaker so now take out this old one and you know all the wires that are in here you make sure they're all labeled so we're going to undo these screws take this out and then we're going to make sure they all labeled with the letters up here each wire is labeled accordingly to the same letter up here as you see oops see a little lettering on these follow that wire back and with the letters included put that on each corresponding wire that matches this here now you see on the factory they've already put a jumper on the rc and rh so i'm going to do take all these wires put them feed them through here and connect them to those corresponding letters and we're going to connect the wires each corresponding wire to its correct one so this is g g goes right here make sure that's undone put that in there and tighten that up i actually have to have a pretty small phillips screwdriver because these are small to get in why goes right there do that for each and every all my wires connected to the corresponding number or corresponding ladder from the other one so it's all black and right my other one had the jumper from our wrc and that's connected so now i'm just going to level this mark it so we can put the screws in just want to go there i'm the operation coordinator got a 1 8 inch drill bit to drill this one and then i'm going to drill this one about right there now in the directions it calls for a 3 16 drill bit to drill in push me as far as you can by hand and the holes you just drilled and just take a little hammer and count them flush make sure all the way on there take the screws provided want to get tight just hand tighten it you don't want to strip them out i'll set this on here make sure it's level right there okay now we got batteries in powered up little switch right here is this side is gas this side is electric if you have electric heater gas heater you switch out accordingly so let's put that in that closes up and open access all the things down here to set the time you see right here you click time up or down to get the hour until it says p.m got that right press again those are your minutes press again you'll have the days of the week up here make sure it's on the right day when that's set press one now it's set monday 501 so i'm going to put cool auto this is 78 so i want to go get the cool temperature down it just kicked on ac is on 75 degrees in here i got it set for 71. it works that simple that easy shut it off there you have it quick and easy install of a brand new white rogers p200 programmable thermostat thanks for watching you
