Hi, I'm Jennifer Cail. On behalf of Expert
Village I'm going to show you how to make these delicious festive wreath cookies. For
our next step we are going to be adding our egg and our flavorings. We are going to use
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla flavor or actual vanilla extract, then we'll be also adding a 1/2 teaspoon
of almond extract. This is going to give the wreaths a really nice flavor and then we are
going to add our egg. You want to use a large egg and to carefully crack it as to not get
any shell inside the cookie dough. Then we are going to start the mixer back up on a
slower speed to begin with so that the yolk will break and so also we are not splattering
our egg around. In general you always want to start off a mixer at a slower speed before
putting it up to a higher speed when you're incorporating ingredients in. So now let's
turn it up you can now see what the butter, egg and sugar mixture looks like when it's
all incorporated. It's very consistent throughout, it's a very wet loose consistency right now
and it smells wonderfully of vanilla and almond. It's time for the next step.
