Please explain how to make thanksgiving pilgrim hats, and candy corn turkey's | keith and laura's kitchen

welcome to keep in Laura's kitchen for this episode since Thanksgiving is coming up without a befitting to make program hats and candy quantities first I'm going to show you how to make a very easy pilgrim hat to get started we need chocolate icing fudge striped cookies peanut butter cups orange icing and white icing alright step one we're going to take our fudge strip cookie and flip it over and then we take our peanut butter cup and our chocolate frosting and spread the frosting all around the bottom this is going to help the peanut butter cup to adhere to the cookie so we press it down and then we move on to our white icing just going to start wherever just keep moving around this is going to form the trim of your pilgrim hat this is a very easy project that you can do with your kids and it be make a great play setting dessert to take to Thanksgiving so you see I've gotten all the way around made my trim and we take our orange icing and just wherever we want just make an orange square this is going to be the buckle of the Hat and there we go I got our simple easy kid friendly pilgrim hats all right now for the candy corn turkey what you're going to need is some double stuff oreos you need some whoppers some white black and orange piping gel and need some peanut butter cups we are going to also need candy corn and chocolate icing to get started grab one of your Oreos and just pipe a nice little wine maybe around about half of the inside this is going to help adhere these candy corns into it so what you're going to do is grab it and push it in about a third of the way and work your way all the way around that Oreo so you can create the tail feathers for this turkey this is the part of the process that's going to be a little bit time-consuming when you're done should look something like that so set that aside and then grab the bottom half of your turkey what you're going to do is grab your peanut butter cup and we took a little bit of this peanut butter cup off to give it a nice little flat edge grab your chocolate icing put a nice amount of that on the bottom so that it will end here to your Oreo and then put that about a third of the weight almost halfway and just make sure that six flat as you can see right there give it enough room so you can put the tail feathers on and what you're going to do is then just put a little bit more of that chocolate icing right on that back side so you cannot hear the feathers directly to the back so just take that and push it in so you can kind of see it coming along now so the next step in the process probably the most tricky you take one of the whoppers take your white piping gel make a little nose right there then take a couple eyes one grab the black icing and this part is a little difficult you want to just pipe a tiny little amount over the top and it will settle after you kind of get it separated from the tip of your piping there we go so grab a little bit more the chocolate icing pipe it right into the top of that peanut butter cup and that's going to help this whopper head stick to the top of the turkey and just press that in there for a couple seconds good go so you can kind of see it coming along right there now the last step we grabbed us got the orange piping but it doesn't really come through on our cookie so I'm gonna use the white what you're gonna do is just pipe the feet so one line there go ahead and give it couple more so there you go we hope you enjoyed our episode this week and we hope you have fun making your own versions of these candy corn turkeys and pilgrim hats join us next week and to everyone out there have a safe and happy thanksgiving
