Please explain how to make herb tea - althea ( rose of sharon ) - simple drink hot or cold

hi everybody this is spring with soaps and suds and such and today i'm going to show you how one way that i make my althea tea um you could use rows of sharon if you don't have althea but i've got some dried blooms here and i like to take those and you can tear them up if you want or you can leave them whole whichever way you want to do them i'm just going to be putting them in like so and i do this one just a little bit different than some of the others to that i'm going to add some fresh sprigs of peppermint i love peppermint if you don't like peppermint leave it out you can actually put what you know different herbs that you want to in this tea so okay and i'm also since i have it some fresh spearmint i like spearmint also i i basically love any mint we'll put it that way but that's going to give it a good um flavor help the flavoring um aspect of it and i just cut that up in there like so i didn't bruise it you can bruise it bruising your herb helps to get the oils out so that they go into your tea or concoction remedy whatever you were making me i drink a lot of herbal teas so i'm using a lot of herbs for that okay now got that like so now i also have here a piece of stevia for adding um you know like some sweetness to it and i'm not gonna put it in yet i'm gonna take up just a simple butter knife and we'll kind of move this around like so and um i am going to be making like a pot of this so i need to add some more water i like to add it up to that line okay and then i need to put my lid on and what i'm going to do is i'm going to let this um come to a boil and we'll actually cut it down on low and i'm going to let it simmer just for just for a very short amount of time okay we did reach our bowl i've already cut my eye down and i'm going to take this off long enough to put in my stevia now i have cut my eye down and i'm going to move this around like so get all that down in there okay once you've got that all down in there then you're going to want to replace your lid like so now we'll let that simmer now that is on low i'm only going to let it simmer for a couple of minutes like two minutes and then you'll i will let it sit just till it hits like the warm warmer warm stage not hot but not um not to a lukewarm you know still good and hot but not boiling hot and that's whenever i will strain it and make my tea so there you have it that's the way that's one of the ways i do my althea team now that's the way i like to do it but i may add different herbs to it but there you go i hope that you find this helpful and be sure and do research on your herbs before you use them or ask a physician because i'm not an herbalist and i'm not a physician i just love dark love herbs have a blessed day
