hi today I'm gonna talk about tail baldness and a bit about ferret blackheads as well and I'm making this video because and so it has a little bit of tail borden it's not bald but there's a patch where it started to thin so I've been doing some research about why this might be and if it's a problem and if there's anything that you need to do to sort it out so firstly the baldness it is it's summer now and I'm keeping him in an indoor cage and when he was in his last time he was in an outdoor one and that was earlier this year so it was a winter so I think he's changing into his summer toe because he is a little less fluffy then when I got him his coat is a little bit thinner just he's just having a tiny bit of thinning of the hair on the tail where you can see the skin but I have read that it is normal for them to have this a little bit when they're changing their coats but you shouldn't have like a whole board there that might mean that there's something um something extra going on they can also have baldness from different types of worms and infections that tends to be the case if the baldness has moved up onto the body and also one of the reasons that they might have been of hair loss is blackheads which they tend to get on their tails so I'm gonna do a treatment for this today and I'm gonna have that all on film so you can see what I'm doing so to clean the title because you want to get the blackheads because I've seen that he's got I think it's a little bit of blackheads so I'm gonna do a treatment to clean those out and what that's going to be is giving a warm wet flannel and putting that over the towel to open up the pores and then leave that on there for a little bit and then I'm gonna be using some tea tree wipes you can use a ferret shampoo or what I've found a lot of people say as good is like a natural acne treatment because it's the same thought sort of thing cleaning out the pores but obviously with your ferret you don't want to be exposing them to any unusual sort of chemicals so I'm just using some organic tea tree wipes that I bought and they're free from loads of harmful chemicals fragrances and everything like that so it is a very natural and then also I'm gonna give him my spot on for fleas and worms just in case because he's jus for one and then if that if there is an underlying cause for the baldness that will sort that out as well so I'll just show you a little close-up of his table so you can just see there it's got a little bit of a lion toy thing going on so it's just gotten a little bit thinner and then puffed out again at the base that's how I notice the difference and I'll see if I can get a shot no no oops I'm not sure if you could see that properly or not but if or not he is an image that's similar to what it looks like I'm just going to take him upstairs now and do the treatment so you can see how that goes hold the wet cloth over here forever you you and where you can see the skin just there it's looking all pink and clean whereas before there was a few specks of dirt on it you
