welcome to my kitchen today let's make a mango trifer it's light and refreshing the perfect dessert to follow a heavy meal so let's get started these ingredients are for egg servings we'll use 3 large ripe mangoes the best way to peel them is to first slice off their tops and bottoms this helps the peeler get under their tough skin and after that peeling them is very easy cut the mango into one and a half centimeter that's roughly half an inch cubes use 450 grams which is one pound of sponge cake i've baked a vanilla cake from a box of cake mix cut the cake into bite-sized pieces that's roughly two centimeter or about one inch cubes we are going to use instant pudding just pour the pudding powder into three cups of cold milk and then stir for about two minutes or until the pudding has become really smooth that's it let's keep this in the refrigerator until it's time to use it we'll also need 2 cups of mango flavored jello let the jello set up in a shallow dish then slice it into one and a half centimeter cubes with crossways and up and down cuts all our ingredients are now ready we have the cake mango 4 cups of whipped cream jello and pudding first we lay the cake across the bottom of a glass bowl next spoon the pudding layer over the cake use a utensil to roughly level out the top of the pudding then add a layer of mango pieces on top of the pudding now a layer of the jello cubes goes over the mango this stage with a layer of whipped cream and smooth out a surface with a spoon now for the last stitch we'll run through the whole layering sequence once more first the cake then pudding followed by the mango and jello at last add the whipped cream we'll garnish the top with a few mango slices and then add mint leaves in the center remember to refrigerate this dish until it's time to serve it so that the whipped cream and jello don't break down so that's the dessert for my dinner party tonight thank you for watching i'll see you in my next video bye
