a little bit larger but this is a sugar cookie dough that's been baked up in a pan that's the shape of a flower or you could use the cutout and attach it the same way um you know with the royal icing on the back okay you can actually see there's a little bit there to make it this is buttercream right i can do that because i'm not the expert okay you know better than to do that right oh you can do that okay you can do whatever you want pretty good okay now here you can just decorate i'm just doing a zigzag so basically this is a number 18. starts our tip and then i'm just going around the edge and you can see it doesn't really take long you could just do a straight star if you wanted okay and then you're going to you're going to fill them in and yeah and we can just put a center in there okay yellow and it can be very simple um i'm just going to do like what i'd call a very large rosette for the center now these are in buttercream if you're actually going to put them in arrangement that's going to sit on the table for a period of time you might want to do them in royal icing because they last longer you could if you're going to ship them to somebody you want to do them in royal icing because that will stay on the cookie this will get a little hard but not as hard as the royal icing well these would be a perfect gift what you're looking at for maybe a teacher you could put them in a mug for a music professor wouldn't this be something cute even to take these put them in a glass bowl line your bowl with m m's maybe during the easter put them in there with jelly beans i love hot tamales but anyway all of those things would be so cute tucked in there as a centerpiece for a table and then divvy them out to your guests and let them take them home or as a dessert yeah you could put them in a clear plastic bag but you know some people like to purchase the made arrangements i kind of like to make them because it's something that you've done for somebody and it's like it's a gift a gift from the heart you know a homemade or a handmade gift is truly a gift from the heart and especially if children uh will do these things with you it's something that as a family you all can do together you see here i'm just doing a star i'm just doing you know basically a star i'll do two here okay so you're just basically squeezing straight up and down now tell me something how did you get this stick in this cookie well this was actually in a pot cookie pop pan so you could actually bake the cookie stick in the dough okay so if you wanted to you could use the pan if you didn't want to you could cut it out and then just put some extra dough on the back and actually bake it in or there's so many options in life you could actually do the royal icing like we did on the little uh tulips well a lot of great ideas so go to work give it a try with your family at home and it truly will be a gift from the heart something that you do okay thank you nancy and when we come
