hi I'm Karen Greta from Scandinavia today I'm going to make the Swedish delicious cucumber salad and sour cream with dill last time I made cucumber salad it was a Danish salad and I actually shredded the cucumber but in this case I'm going to show you you can also use a knife and slice it so here I go almost finished nicely and actually they are using an English cucumber of course it is faster to use a slicer but both ways work and now goes I wanted to be able to squeeze out a lot of the juices and in order to do that I need to add some salt so I'm going to add about 3 tablespoons of salt mix it off thoroughly and I'm going to put something heavy on top which will help squeezing out the juices I have a statement and something heavy and now I'm going to leave it like this for about an hour and after an hour I'm going to show you the next step this is the sour cream that did I have please just want to make sure you know that as we always do when we make food it's important and I remove the people from the cucumber's you know it was kind of squeezing it while I was waiting but now I will try to squeeze out the rest of it and I'm going to pull out all the juices okay so you can tell I have a lot of juices in here now juices out much as possible and he's not all bad and now I'm ready to make the sour cream dressing yeah I've had this beautiful Swedish glass bowl and I'm going to make the dressing him yeah I have a cup of sour cream I have a quarter cup of lemon juice you can use either lemon juice or vinegar I like the limit I'm going to add about a tablespoon of sugar stir it up a little bit now I'm adding a small chopped onion finely chop about two tablespoons of chopped dill mix it up again and all the flavors combined wonderfully and I also like to add some kappa wine freshly fried peppers is great so we have the dressing ready I can add all the cucumbers we have an absolutely delicious sour cream sweetie so cute I hope you will enjoy the salad please mock like on our YouTube and also please subscribe but become
