this is mr. brown thumb and I'm going to show you what the seed pods for columbines look like as you can see here this one's not ready to collect seeds from yet there's this one here that's splitting open there's an even riper one right here I have some pods here so you can get an idea of what they look like see when they start to split open you can see the seeds clearly we can just empty them out into your hand or you can take the pods and place them in a paper bag until they dry out completely in the seeds fall out easier they're a little sticky at this stage but the seeds are ready so you can just collect them set them aside to dry for a couple of days you
