hi this is Tamara from ugly blog.com and in this video I'd like to show you linked treble stitches now here I've made two rows does most recent row is the right side row I guess you could say or the side you see when you're making it and if you look closely you can see that there are two horizontal lines as we've made the stitch this is what it looks like from the back side you can see here is the first row then I flipped it over and this is the back side of the link treble stitch just has a very different look so let me show you how to make this stitch this is a great one when you want to make something relatively tight woven but you don't want to spend all your time making single crochets of course it also adds an interesting texture so I'm going to start by chaining four one two three and four as I turn it over here I am going to rather than yarn over twice as we normally would for a treble I'm going to pick up the back loop here I'm going to insert my hook into the second back loop from the hook so skip the first one into the second one I yearn over and pull up a loop then in the very next one I insert my hook yarn over and pull up a loop and then working into the next stitch I insert my hook yarn over and pull up a loop and then from here I work it as I normally would of treble pull through two loops pull through two and pull through two so now as you can see by doing that I have created these two horizontal bars these are where I'm going to work into I'm going to insert my hook under the first horizontal bar yarn over pull up a loop insert my hook into or rather underneath the second horizontal bar yarn over and pull up a loop and then go ahead and insert my hook right into the next stitch as I normally would yarn over and pull up a loop then yarn over pull through two yarn over pull through two yarn over pull through two so basically instead of yarning over twice to start the stitch we get those two wraps by going into those horizontal bars let's do another one I insert my hook under the top horizontal bar there yarn over pull through insert my hook into the second horizontal bar yarn over pull through insert my hook into the next stitch yarn over pull through and then yarn over pull through two yarn over pull through two yarn over pull through two you can see it's working into these horizontal stitches that create the parallel horizontal lines let's do this one more time close-up I insert my hook under the top horizontal bar yarn over pull up a loop under the second horizontal bar yarn over pull up a loop into the next stitch yarn over pull up a loop yarn over pull through two yarn over pull through two yarn over pull through two and that's all there is to linked treble crochet thanks for watching
