hi I'm Marybeth madryn I'm a brow specialist I've shaped thousands of brows in my career today I'm gonna share with you my best tips and tricks to get the perfect brow you mean if you don't have access to a pro one of the first things you want to do when shaping your brows is make sure you're in good lighting you want to avoid being under overhead lights which can cause a shadow and distort the way that you look no it sounds counterintuitive but if you're working on a very clean face right out of the shower it might be less sensitive to tweeze it's actually one of the worst times of tweeze the end of the day we still have makeup on and you're looking in the mirror you get a more realistic idea of what needs to be removed a good idea is to avoid shape your brows when you're feeling hormonal women tend to want to control everything around them including their appearance and their hormones are elevated so wait for a nice time when you're feeling very comfortable and your hormones are not going through the roof the next thing you're gonna want to do is you're gonna want to do a pencil test is to determine the placement of her brow we're gonna start right ridge of the nose and then defined your tail you're gonna go from the outer edge of the nostril the outer edge of the eye this will show you where the brow should end and you want to measure for the arch placement where is it's naturally perfect little gift from Mother Nature right at the outer edge of the pupil and then you want to look at the placement of the brow on the brow bone you see this is a step that most people forget our brows have nice even beginning at the bottom the bottom so the anchors are even and then you want to look from arch to arch you want to take a peak at the peaks and try to get them symmetrical once you've determined the placement for your brow you're going to think about the thickness generally the shape that Mother Nature gives you and this portion is gonna be a good place to begin next we're going to brush the brows up and out by brushing the brows up they're gonna automatically give a nice lift to the eye it also helps you to see the natural contour what we want to do now is we're gonna take the tweezers and you're gonna grab from the root of the hair you're breaking the hairs off you're more likely to get in groans which can result in an infection or in a scar you see I've only taken hairs in the center generally a space about as wide as your index finger now we're gonna do is you're going to look at the bottom edge right along here you can see the line is very smooth and all of a sudden we start to have a few little strays underneath the peak so as you begin on the bottom pull the skin taut but without pulling the throw up too hot you're really just cleaning up the line to add a little bit more definition and symmetry you will know avoid taking too much from the top this can distort your natural flow as well across the brow bone and it could make your eyes look like they're dripping pull the skin taut and just remove the surfer flow as Fuzz starting from the inside and working out toward the tail and see when the skin is clean but it reflects light so it looks like the tail has been lifted a little bit even though it hasn't been tapered to where it's too thin people like to trim their eyebrows with scissors one or two hairs is okay and comb up the brow snip just the one or the tube but it by giving the entire thing a haircut you can make the brows look like they're holes all the way through it a beautiful eyebrow can anchor any look the brows frame the eyes determine your expression and make everyone more beautiful
