hey everybody everybody wow wow hey everybody welcome to the next tutorial here on duct tape creations so for today's tour we're going to make a duct tape armchair sling which would be really cool i hope you enjoy it i want to do a mention is last week i i was going to show you how to make a uh harley quinn style gesture hat i was working on the design so it didn't go too well so sadly i couldn't get that out for you guys today but i'll try and continue working on it hopefully in the near future we'll see how that works out but either way i hope you guys don't mind that that didn't come out here if you're looking forward to that uh but do you guys enjoy this tutorial here so let's get started i'll show you how to make a duct tape arm chair sling all right so the first you want to start making your duct tape arm chair sling is to cut several super tape 12 to be exact uh and stick with it to start making the sheets so i have the support here to demonstrate so you're going to use your obviously you're just going to start this off any other sheet as you would make a duct tape by just taking the first one there and flipping it over take your second one and stick it right on top of that covering all the sticky side or as much as you can so just like that there's now that double-sided as you can see so you're going to take your next strip here and you're going to overlap by about a quarter of an inch that's the least i'd go to any smaller then it wouldn't really stick too well so i'd go down about a quarter of an inch and seal it down and flip that over and cover up the rest of the stick side showing so just like this here so now you're going to do is you're going to continue on down the line with the rest of your strips uh like i said you need 12 and total to make a 10 by 10 sheet uh actually for to mention these strips here are 10 inches in length and you want to make a sheet that is 10 inches tall so you just need 12 shirts to do that that are 10 inches in length which is pretty simple so finish off your sheet and then we can move on all right so now that you've finished your sheet here it should have should have been it looks just like this you this 10 by 10 uh so a perfect square which took the 12 ships in total so now once you have that you need to make another sheet um instead of making it 10 inches in height uh you need to make it just seven inches so you only need eight tape to make that here so as you can see it just goes up a little over halfway up this sheet here you can see it stops right here so that's what you want for that so this these again are 10 inches long and you just need four strips of tape to make this so stick together to make a sheet that's seven inches in width and once you have that we can move on to our next steps all right so you finish off these two sheets here so your main back pane which is the 10 by 10 square and the front panel which is the 10 by 7 7 inches in width and 10 inches in length once you have these oh sorry now that you have these two down we can move on to sealing the bottom and the sides together and to do that you need to cut out sort of putting out four strips of tape that are seven inches long these are gonna be for the sides here and stick them together so you have these two double sided tape just like this and you're gonna cut one uh two more tape that are tensions long and sticking together just like this here so once again double sided tape there they're gonna need all these strips right here so four ships are seven inches long and that's so you can seal these together and put them onto these sheets and same goes for these 10-inch strips right here those will go on to this one so you can seal the bottom together so you're going to start off here at the bottom one and it's going to bring over your double-sided strip right here stick half of this strip right on top of that seal it down and you're gonna do the exact same thing with the other side just bring it over and stick it halfway on and seal it so right there so you can see there's this uh single bar right here in the center and the two sticky sides showing on either side so that's pretty simple so now bring over one of your sheets here and start with the front panels with the seven by ten or ten by seven that's what we wanna call it i'm just gonna stick that down right like this and seal it over so now you can see they're connected right there and it just folds right over which is what you want so you're going to bring over your main sheet which is the back panel and just seal it down just get that one right like that make sure it's all aligned and there you go so now that will fold right over and drop on the sheets there sorry about that and then that will just fold right over like that as you can see so now we're going to work on the sides here so you can bring over one of these double-sided strips and the same heat that sit there wow tongue tie today i did the same thing you do with the bottom one just take half of it like that and do it once again halfway on right there seal it down and there you go so this part can be a little bit tricky i was just having a friend or a helper to help to hold this around hold this in a certain way for you but you'll see in a second so basically this part you can do by yourself just dig it right down on there like you did at the bottom but this time on the side with the seven inch strips and just try and get it aligned there and seal it down just like so okay mine's a little bit off but that's all right and once you have that stuck on you're gonna bring over this stone this is where you're gonna need a helper because you need someone to hold this up in place so you can bring this and fold it over into place so just like that there do the best you can with it so right like that and seal it over and just like that make sure it's all sealed down you can put your hand inside and make sure you press it tight enough so you can see the side is all sticky like that so now you're going to do the same thing on this side and once you have that done that's pretty much it for your uh duct tape uh arm chair sling next thing we're going to do is make the straps right here which will go over the arm of your chair alright so the last part here i'm making the uh duct tape arm tear sling actually make the straps that would go over top of the uh of your chair arm so that i just have these two shirts right here that are 23 inches long you can make whatever length you want as that by default size for me but you just take the first one here i flip it over just like this and then you bring over the second one and now when you're sticking these together you're going to make them off center so you're going to have sticky side on both sides showing which i will show you in a second so sticking together like this just like that there and then you'll see there's going to be stick sides showing on this right there and on the other side as well so you can see so we want to do with that is this can just get stuck right to the back of this and just seal down and then that's attached right there you can also take some other tape you can take some more strips and just seal it down a little bit tighter you can use some grille tape will make it reinforced so that can just drape over the edge which i have doing right now and then that will tighten up so another thing you can do while you have sticky side on the other side if you're doing this unlike a chair that has an armrest and then the cushion can be removed what you can do is you can drape this over top of the armrest down underneath the cushion and attach it to a piece of cardboard like this right here so stick it down right on the bottom and put this underneath the cushion will stay in place and it shouldn't move that's what that's how duct tape stuffed in his tutorial what i do for my own armchair thing since i use an office chair when i'm doing this kind of work and i like to keep stuff right by me uh i did have one on my arm for a while but it kind of fell off but what i do is i just make uh one that's about this long maybe about four inches long put velcro on it and just stick it right onto the arm of my chair which is pretty simple so that's two ways you can do it if you just want to do it like i said putting it into a chair with the cushion just have the two sticks on the to have the two sticky sides take it to a piece of cardboard and put that underneath the cushion and drape it over the arm and you're good to go you just need to make an exact duplicate of this uh same strap on the other side which is really simple now that's pretty much all you really need to do on how to make the uh uh to make the duct tape arm chair sling i hope you guys enjoyed it i do apologize i was not able to get the uh the harley quinn style gesture had tutorial out for you guys i will try and work on that design a little bit more and hopefully guessing that'll that is presentable for you uh but hopefully work it out and that you might see in the near future um maybe you're not maybe maybe not who knows see how things go but yeah that's pretty much going to do for this tutorial do you guys enjoy if you did please leave a like i'll be much appreciate that would be much appreciated uh if you see some other content for me like what you see don't be afraid to subscribe i also welcome new members to the community here on my channel uh yep that's pretty much it definitely for now so thanks for watching as always just enjoy the one of those duct tape
