Please explain how to heat press a custom badger dri-fit baseball shirt with heat transfer vinyl

hey there John Okeefe room app silo here with rhinestone Worldcom so in this awesome tutorial video we're going to customize one of our digital camo badger dry fit shirts here so what we're going to customize it with is our three colors Sting baseball right here so different colors we're going to use here we're going to use our silver lens electric heat transfer vinyl then we have our black easyweed and then we have our orange easyweed here now what I did I like to do that's a little bit different and even though we can layer all three of these materials I like to get a softer feel on the shirt so as you can see the way that I cut this in the TRW stone wizard is I used our magic trap so there's different areas where it's cut out where there's a slight overlap and what that allows is then we don't have three layers of material directly on top of each other which gives it that thicker feel on the shirt I like the nice soft to the touch feel on the garment even though we don't have to use the magic trap I like to use it it gives a softer feel on the shirt which in turn is going to make our customer happy to give that soft touch to the actual garment okay so to go ahead and press this obviously I'm going to press our bottom layer first which is going to be our silver lens so we're going to grab our silver lens here we're going to line up our shirt first we're using our sixteen by twenty hotronix Auto plan heat press here and like I said our badger digital camo shirt are black and orange let's go ahead and line up our shirt here real quickly and we're going to do a quick pre-press I'm doing put three to four second pre-press here everything looks good obviously if your shirt is not on straight your design is not going to be on straight so everything looks great there now what I like to do is just a quick press with that initial press so what I'm going to do is I like to look where the armpits are I know the armpits that are going to go right across the middle of the chest area so let's line that up good let's check the bottom of the shirt here make sure everything is lined up I kind of look at my edges here and I can say okay it's about the same distance on each side there so that's looking pretty good you can see this silver lens is blending in pretty good so it's difficult to see and that's why we're doing the three color design here so I would say that we are pretty straight there so I'm going to go with my initial press of about three to four seconds here real quick just to get that initial tab we should be able to just hop peel this off now that we have it lined up we're all good so what I can actually do now is I can bring the shirt down to get it into a little bit better lighting for me to layer my next two colors so my next color is going to be my black here so again I'm just going to go over and line this up perfectly here that's looking great right there can't see any of the shirt showing through and it's going to give it that nice soft feel great thing is as you can see my carrier sheet is still covering up all the silver lens so technically I don't really have to use a protective cover sheet because if all of my material is still protected and again I'm only going to go about three to four seconds here because we do have one more to press so you can see how awesome this design is looking so far it pretty much stands out right there we could be happy with this design right here showing the digital camo through well you can still read it pretty easy I think it jumps out a little bit more if we add this orange easyweed on top so you can see when I add this last layer here how that really makes the design kind of jump off the shirt makes it very easy to read so that's our third color now I do have some of my heat transfer vinyl exposed right here so since I do I go grab a cover sheet here so let's go ahead and put the cover sheet over top and now we're going to go for the full recommended time and temperature again we're at about 305 degrees and we're going to go that full 10 to 12 seconds for our easy way you heat transfer vinyl so once it hits that full recommended time the auto open is going to open up for us again we have a warm peel so we can go ahead and peel that directly off and you can see how awesome our garments look in here so to add a little something to this shirt what I also want to do is I want to add a custom logo on the back of it so I'm going to turn it over here we're going to go to the backside of the shirt and I have this SS right here for a logo to go right on the back of the shirt so same thing three colors this one I do not have trapped out because I'm not worried quite as much smaller design it's not on the front not worried quite as much about how soft the feel is to the shirt so I'll probably go right there on the SS on the back here I would say that looks pretty good they're right across the top back of the shirt there go for our initial press again about three to four seconds here there's our initial black down now we'll come back and layer the silver right on top of this black so a thin black outline is all we're looking for here and we got that so let's go ahead and press the second color and that's our silver lens again that's going on top of here and then our last color is going to be our orange easy.we and we didn't necessarily have to do all three colors here I just wanted a little bit of black in the background just so it kind of jumped out a little more with the digital camo it can be a little bit harder to read depending on what color of the black the gray or the oranges around your design so we got our third color down there drop this down and it's going to look awesome it's got the logo on the back of shirt the full team name on the front and again this is our third press so we're going to go for the full recommended time and temperature of 10 to 12 seconds at it set arms well right here let's go ahead and pull this up and there we go so we got our SS on the back right there and we got our Sarasota sting on the front of the design right here alright so I hope you enjoyed this video on creating a custom shirt like I'm wearing right here again 3 color design we have our orange easyweed our black easyweed and then to add a little something different to this design we used our silver lens it's a real cool has a little bit of a pattern on a little shine to it it jumps out but what I like to use on a lot of my shirts a lot of the men shirts that we make as well and then obviously we have the SS on the back right here but hope you enjoyed this video if you do have any questions make sure the visit the website the Rhinestone WorldCom or give us a call numbers nine four one seven five five
