so I fabricated this wall and I installed a set of wall tech faucets I'm just going to simulate a repair and a leaky faucet I'm and there's a few little tips there that will help you to make your job go a little be easier while tech we're taking over by Delta a few years ago they're great faucet as far as bang for your buck they've been around for a number of decades now and just a great product so the first thing I'm going to do is pop this cap off after I've shut the water off that is your very first job to do but then I'm going to open the open the cartridge move the handle push these little easier these are brand new set of faucets I'm going to turn this chrome and that will pull you're sketching up there this is a hot cartridge wall tech have finally come to the to the tool to the point where they have used that they use the same character in both sides it's cold stem they shut off and turn on the same way and that is the way it should be as far as I'm concerned take a crescent wrench move cartridge some of the older models when you do this if there's not no ring on here there could be a little plastic washer in there so just keep a close eye on because it was clear and sometimes the will fall off but check to make sure that there is a plastic washer here so you're going to replace your washer and turn your water back on you're still going to have a leak or it will start leaking a couple of weeks time you want to check the seat on the faucet and just put a flashlight have a look inside there just to see what kind of shape it's in and if it is in rough shape you're gonna have to get Allen wrench and I put a little tough line on there also you want a moment they take down an inch slow them like so take a small crush match use the eye of it follow the leverage to pull the seat out and then see these seats are are quite long at now that I've removed if I'm going to reinstall it and what I will do is I'll just take a little tap on put down a thread but I'll just turn a little tap on like so just form a little gasket here actually and not anything too fancy but that's just a little gasket that I put on there one doesn't come to the faucet but some people with Teflon right around every thread but I just keep it close to the to where it butts up so I put this Teflon on here just to allow it to the Ahlers to stop when I'm putting the seat back in place that he's going to take us turn it in there that Teflon is just starting to squeeze down get out of the turn snug it up there we go now just reverse the cartridge back in give that a little turn you don't have to over over tighten these these cartridges whatever you replace them in a in a fossil no need of it something to remember if you're installing new faucets just keep in mind that you don't have to you don't have to crank down on the handle because you're compressing that washer and you're going to end up changing the washer a whole lot sooner it's actually just two fingers is all that's required shut your water off that's it and the water shut off the leak is repaired and I hope that has helped you have a great day
