alright guys welcome back to the channel I'm Hank strange I'm hanging out with my friend Sam Andrews we've had a lot of response and from the last video we did over 60,000 views and a 99.99% overwhelmingly positive comments excellent everyone really enjoyed that and there and there's people out there asking for more absolutely so that's why we're back here and and I've heard that your monarch holster is one of the popular holsters that you make that's what I'm modeling I am the sexy swimsuit model today of the holster so you want to tell us about that where did those come from well I've been doing shoulder holsters and Oh from the time I started there were so many on the market that aren't comfortable ok and there's a lot of them people have complained to me they're just torture devices right and lots of them have straps that bind you in so you can't move so what I wanted was something that would be free-floating you could move within it but also wouldn't flop around right absolutely now the reason this is called a monarch holster is if you'll spin around the connector plate where all of these come together is kind of butterfly shaped hence and by wide spacing the top swivels on that it stays off of the back of my neck it's more between yeah shoulder blades for great comfort you really have to wear it to see I mean I've only ever seen this in the movies with detectives wearing them I always thought yeah that's probably not going to be a comfortable set up ever since Stone Johnson shot his way across Miami he's wearing yeah early Miami really everybody has those yeah but this takes it a step further and it's all about weight distribution I want to come equalize weight right because you don't want it all tipping to one side of the other yeah or creating back problems I mean this spills it really does feel very natural to me I'm sure after doing this for lots of years you've come up with improvements you've dealt with a lot of guys that wear these on a regular basis and lots of feedback right I found out what works what was just a great idea on battery ok very cool so so the basic rig is 2 magazines and the gun the gun okay so every basic mags to be back here somewhere your magazines balance out your weapon okay what makes ours different from a lot of the other ones on the market is instead of using tie downs which tie you into your belt I use a lower back strap and with the lower backs okay so you can adjust that I don't need tie down so many rigs use tie downs that lock you into your belt and when you're locked into your build your movements are restricted this is like a vest it's closed on three sides it doesn't swing forward yeah because the strap doesn't let it swing that way yeah so no matter what I do I'm working moving around will have freedom of movement within the rig okay but it also prevents swinging outward notice the gun doesn't fall away because I've attached it at the bottom edge of our holster I feel like we're dancing it's really not my mother jiggly bits and moving more yeah backwards okay I like it so what do you have here that you know I see you've got some different variations now I'm wearing the Glock 19 version right which will actually misters are skeletonized for me oh I could use in this 1911 a three inch of four inch of five inch because they're all the same wear the strap retains it okay so this this whole suit can carry a Glock 17 maybe even a Glock 34 and a 9-mil 40 caliber three five seven block from a Glock to long slams oh it right in there okay very good and now one of the questions I've wanted to EU is the Glock the most popular well it's a time between the 1911 and the Glock they'll cover 70% of everything I make oh okay and what what would someone use this for more often are we talking people there in law enforcement law enforcement casual daily concealed carry I had people using them for every kind of purpose people take them hunting and fishing because they're gonna keep things up out of the way like exactly very cool so what are the different options that we've got here on the table well good point out a few of the details that go in the holsters with suede line them so they don't tell the finish off the weapon okay and there's a belt loop on the back so that if you take it off the harness you can also wear it as a high ride just to do double duty oh that's a good idea yeah okay so you just take it off here you just take it off under the harness the rig here and then slide your belts and because and you can just go on you throw a lot of law enforcement people who have to qualify with these range masters don't want to allow that big muzzle sweep of a brass ball on the range so they could just put it on the belt then they've got their range holster for the day right and they can do their qualifying or then underneath the trigger guard is a tension retainer the screw goes through the rubber grommet right under where the trigger guard fits in mm-hm and that's just in case because I am paranoid just in case something ever hit the thumb break and opened it the gun doesn't drop right out because we ripped there until you pull yet still takes a good tug to get it out exactly and you can vary the tension by adjusting it with a screwdriver okay that's always good to have and it's you feel more secure oh don't and suspenders right then some of the most popular options for law enforcement we do make a handcuff case that will attach to the slaw on the bottom of the magnet okay I don't have a finished one to show but they are in the cab okay then a lot of people like the fighting knife addition good idea which I did on my 45 rig the sheath goes through a loop on the back of the magazine pouch oh I see and it snaps to the front with the locking snap right so you take that off them change yet whatever at your will they're kinda quick on the mall blind but circuit design and engineering into these trial and error now these are mostly a breakthrough sheath we just you and you pull it breaks through the snap by and that works this is my old Gerber they're not in production anymore but I make the same sheets for the Smith & Wesson HRT knife he cashes practically the same blade and they've rubberized the handle for a better grip these are available inexpensively and readily so they make a great carry okay that's a good night the other popular knife is the new mini k bar yeah classic marine fighting knife just by and I think it's about a two-third size yeah little thicker fits somehow purposes you cannot price stuff with it exactly and then of course tan toes are very popular oh yeah but with the Tinto because it's got such a stubby guard yeah I do sort of a modified thumb break on that so that when I grab the blade my thumb you've got you comes down from the inside staying away it's a more secure hold yeah so now these three options are these the only three options these are the three regular options usually they very seldom make for different knives because there are so many it's so many so if someone really did want to use a different knife they'll have to get in touch with you and there's some concrete motive that yep it needs to have enough of a guard to hold on so many knives are just straight yeah but these are good fighting knives you can use you saw a lot of different purpose super inexpensive and if I lost one of these I wouldn't weep like a Randall number one anything understandably we also do the two gun set up so there is okay this is known as the urban Safari rigor the USR okay this is a left and a right matched set now some people have had me make them for different pistols but most people asked for to the same gun okay and you can get it with just the guns alone no magazine package you can get over single magazine pouches or double I can stack 200 each double tends to get a little low and to me feels a bit cumbersome okay single here's the most popular in this but the others are is that right now how does that draw how does the draw work I wouldn't try it two guns at once basically you're one gun and you're back on okay trying to do two at once yeah I would probably try that you know I don't have that dexterity to be honest with you I've seen it in movies and it still looks awkward I understand they can y'all cut and do it all exactly you know they get lots of practice so no it's probably not gonna try that then this variant is some people like attention magazine pouch instead of having straps coming over this has an adjustable tension grew between the magazine's you scribe oh yes so you don't have your view mags coming out exactly who's just a little less both of them have ladder it's an option so you do this for a 1911 magazines we do all these for revolvers as we'll again sadly I didn't have any finished revolvers Riggs okay at the time we were filming okay but pretty well any of the guns I build for we can do okay and also it looks to me like you you do this in exotic leathers as well right yeah what's this one you've got is crocodile it's a nice golden corridor classy yeah very expensive but very classy right that's always obviously an upgrade oh yes to a rake now what does a rake what does this ring cost in general I know you because we've got different options basically like you're wearing is about 275 for a large auto revolver 1911 blocks you know 250 for small PPK jframe okay and what side what kind of time frame does someone have they make this order it varies trying my best to work in four week blocks on Iraq along with the mumps and leapfrog a month ahead but it's easy to overlook me I'm just a one-man operation I'm sure yeah I know you're getting a lot of questions on YouTube and one of the things I would suggest to people if this a special occasion coming up really give it some advanced time maybe call Sam and find out from him you'll be able to give you more accurate time window when it's gonna happen but go in advance don't try to do it next week yeah now any pointers tips for someone like myself that's never used one of these rigs when you go to draw the weapon and hit the thumb break break like that right now let's just show people how well you tell the phone breakers all right lean forward there we go move whatever the tensioner is still dripping the weapon now when you're good we go right and there you are of course you can adjust the tension and fine-tune it right what about it that was pretty good oh yes the other thing that the lower back strap accomplishes is the holster cannot move forward okay and a lot of the free hanging rigs they're going all over the place and your hand will be half way across your chest before the holster gets off the gun okay with the lower back strap restraining it he exits it releases right away right so now when you get when you get your rig this you need to do some adjustments obviously when your judgments yeah anyone of any pointers there that you want to show anyone it's a gun a matter of taste I like mine fairly high okay and pointing straight back that's where my hand falls where we adjusted okay and then reholster ring basically you want to hold on push it in all the way okay and then with your strap I'm gonna see if I'm gonna do this right since this is the first time you want to get the edge put the stud in there and then there's a directional snap a one-way snap you can see the little lip in the bottom of the socket a little squared off place at the bottom so the edge of the stud has to come in at an angle to lock under there and then it clicks together right so it's actually sort of hinged that keeps it from being able to open from the inside ya need that security here I'll run it again so go up there move it out there you know so it's reholster put it in bring the snap over Wow one more take okay so here we go snap out there you go and it's out so that comes out pretty quickly and then to get it back in read the front end yeah that's very easy so no matter how much right yep you get into a struggle with someone you're running or something yeah the snap can't open from within right so to close that you have to get the front edge of the stud in at an angle under that locking lip and then it sort of folds like it's hinged okay it opens like any snap right hit it to open these also come in different colors what we're working with here is the natural oil brown this one is cordovan Brown we have black it's just a matter of choice people order the color that they want all right absolutely what's now I know and if people can go online and look up go to the website what's the website I'm calm Andrews weather calm and to make an order they actually have to call you right I'm old-fashioned I don't have a computer in the workshop and there's so many variables yeah on this it's better if I talk directly to the people I can ask questions they can explain to me yeah they need this stuff does not lend itself to point-and-click yeah there's a lot of guys out there that might be intimidated to call Sam but you can just call them up tell him Hank strange said you I don't know what that's gonna get you but tell em Hank strange that you get either way he's a nice guy easy to talk to don't feel intimidated you're gonna have to call them anyway yeah thanks a lot Sam I really appreciate it it's always fun coming out here and seeing all the really cool leather works going on Sam's got some really cool things like belts you've got all kinds of nice things here make sure you check out the website call up Sam we'll come out here and do more videos alright thank you guys remember to Like share and subscribe
