hello i'm here today to teach you how to do an origami bird that flaps its wings such a magical thing for this you will need a piece of paper this is just very very crappy normal lined paper from a pad now first off you need to get one of the corners and fold it like so to make a triangle shape right up and you fold it up now you fold this bit here not the triangle just the rectangle over the triangle and then the other way yeah we're going to rip this bit off by the way we got that now open the flat bit that you just fold over and carefully rip it off don't have to be perfect it'll still work anyway but it would help so yeah and we've got our triangle which opens up to a square but we don't want to square yet we want a triangle so keep it as a triangle then you take it right it's open there take that and fold it over here to make a smaller triangle and then do the same again to make an even smaller one if i can which i can yes we got a very small triangle now open it up until it's at the first fold again no square triangle oh magic now take up one of the sides and pull it apart and push it down like that so it makes a little square on its own and then turn it over and do the exact same opening this bit up because yeah and it works yeah like that brackage it's a square both sides now make sure the flappy bits are at the bottom and with one of the sides you fold it over to the middle like you doing a paper airplane or something and then on the other side and flip it over and do exactly the same now you should have something that looks like this a kite oh yes now take the top of the kite and fold it over and turn it around and open this out when you open that it should start to fold in by itself you just fold it in like that and then close it back down now fold the top bit of the kite over the other way and then open the other side out and again yeah hold it like that again and then close it oh we're nearly done now so you don't have a flat kite sort of above the crinkles yeah flat now lift up either side like that like that here and then open up these sides and fold up this and again on the other side so now you have something that looks really stupid however you take one of these sides and fold it down to look somewhat like what could possibly be a head if it like looked proper remember i'm doing this not well because i'm rubbish but yeah then fall down the sides and you have a swan and if you pinch just uh underneath its wings at the front and pull the tail don't don't bend it down because that doesn't work just pull it out and it will start flapping like a little birdie that it really is and there you have it a very poor way of making a very poor origami swan
